Celebrity Cruises Deploys Eight Ships in Europe for Summer 2026
Celebrity Xcel, which entered service in late 2025, is sailing its first Mediterranean and Atlantic summer with seven- to eleven-night cruises from Barcelona and Piraeus.
Celebrity Cruises’ 2026 summer deployment in Europe is underway with eight ships assigned to Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Iceland itineraries. Six vessels have completed trans-Atlantic repositioning voyages, joining the year-round Celebrity Infinity, while Celebrity Silhouette is scheduled to move into the region later in the season.
The program puts half of Celebrity’s 16-ship fleet in Europe for at least part of the season. Celebrity Xcel is the newest ship in the lineup. The Edge-class vessel entered service in late 2025 and arrived in the region in late May for its first summer program in the Mediterranean and Atlantic.
Xcel leads the Mediterranean program
Celebrity Xcel is sailing seven- to 11-night cruises from Barcelona and Piraeus, with calls in Spain, Malta, Greece, Turkey, France and Italy. The ship’s longer Atlantic-facing program includes 11-night Madeira sailings that also visit ports in Portugal and Morocco. Celebrity Ascent, Celebrity Equinox and Celebrity Constellation are also deployed seasonally in the Mediterranean.
Celebrity Infinity continues the line’s year-round European operation with summer sailings from Piraeus to Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean. Its itineraries include calls at Hydra, Thessaloniki and Kavala, along with more established ports in the region.
Northern Europe and Iceland round out the season
Celebrity Eclipse and Celebrity Apex are operating the line’s Northern Europe program, with itineraries covering Scandinavia, the British Isles, Iceland, the Baltic and other regional destinations.
Celebrity Silhouette remains on Bermuda cruises from Cape Liberty before its planned repositioning to Europe. The Solstice-class ship is scheduled to offer seven-night Reykjavik departures from early July through late August, with “Iceland Intensive” itineraries that sail around the island and call at Seydisfjordur, Isafjordur and Akureyri.
Celebrity’s Mediterranean and Northern Europe season is scheduled to run into November. After that, the line plans to redeploy ships to the Caribbean and the Canary Islands.
