Celebrity Beyond Adds Three-Night Bahamas Cruises From Fort Lauderdale

Celebrity Beyond’s weekend voyages will be the first short Caribbean sailings for the Edge Series; it will also operate eight- to 11-night cruises and six Panama Canal journeys.

Celebrity Beyond’s Three-Night Cruises Are the Smart Addition to the 2028 Caribbean Lineup

Celebrity Beyond will sail nine three-night weekend cruises from Fort Lauderdale to The Bahamas between November 2028 and March 2029. They will be the first short Caribbean sailings for Celebrity’s Edge Series, and they deserve more attention than their small place in a much larger deployment suggests.

I like this decision. It gives passengers a way to book an Edge Series ship without setting aside a full week. Nine departures hardly amounts to a wholesale change in strategy, but it is a genuinely different option in a program packed with longer Caribbean itineraries.

The headline announcement is Celebrity Xcite. Bookings opened on November 3, 2026, for the ship’s inaugural 2028 season of seven-night Caribbean cruises from Miami. It will become the sixth Edge Series ship and join nine other Celebrity vessels in what the company describes as its largest Caribbean deployment.

The 2028-2029 program includes departures from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Cape Canaveral and Tampa, along with Celebrity’s first full summer season serving Southern Caribbean destinations. The November booking opening covers winter sailings. Summer 2028 Caribbean cruises open for booking on December 9, 2026.

Beyond gets a weekend role without giving up longer cruises

Beyond carries 3,260 passengers at double occupancy, and its scheduled November 2026 additions include Orange Peel Bar & Grille, Tacos del Sol and Bora, a rooftop Mediterranean restaurant.

The ship will also operate eight- to 11-night cruises visiting islands including St. Kitts and Nevis, Martinique, Barbados, Saint Lucia and Antigua, alongside six Panama Canal journeys.

There will be other choices for passengers with limited time. Celebrity Eclipse will offer weekend departures from Fort Lauderdale as well as 11-night itineraries. Celebrity Summit will sail four- and five-night cruises from Miami. Select sailings across the program will offer visits to Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau.

Xcite is on sale, but the ship’s details are still incomplete

Xcite is being built at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France, and is expected to accommodate approximately 3,276 passengers at double occupancy.

Its rotating itineraries will include St. Thomas, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten and the Dominican Republic. British Virgin Islands calls will offer access to The Baths at Virgin Gorda.

Celebrity has not yet released Xcite’s complete deck plan, cabin categories, restaurant roster or entertainment lineup. For now, passengers can choose its inaugural season and routes, but they cannot fully compare the onboard offering with the Edge Series ships already in service.

Plenty of room for a longer Caribbean trip

From Fort Lauderdale, Celebrity Ascent will offer nine- to 12-night itineraries visiting destinations including Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curacao, Saint Lucia, Martinique, St. Maarten, Barbados, Antigua and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Celebrity Xcel will operate six- and eight-night cruises from the same port. Southern Caribbean routes will visit Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao, while Western Caribbean sailings will call in Mexico, Honduras and Grand Cayman. Onboard, The Bazaar will offer destination-related cultural and culinary experiences.

Celebrity Reflection will maintain year-round Caribbean service from Fort Lauderdale with six- to eight-night cruises. A refurbishment scheduled for March 2027 will add 13 spaces, including the Edge Series’ Grand Plaza and venues introduced aboard the refurbished Celebrity Solstice, plus new outdoor areas, dining and entertainment offerings.

Celebrity Silhouette’s new eight- to 12-night summer itineraries will visit Barbados, Martinique, Saint Lucia and Grenada. From October, Silhouette will sail seven-night cruises from San Juan, Puerto Rico, with five port days per departure. Destinations will include St. Thomas, Antigua, Martinique, Saint Lucia and Barbados. That is a substantial option for passengers who want their week built around time ashore.

Celebrity Apex will return to Cape Canaveral with Eastern Caribbean routes visiting the British Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic and St. Maarten. Its Western Caribbean itineraries will include Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Key West. From Tampa, Celebrity Constellation will offer seven-night cruises to Key West, The Bahamas and the Western Caribbean.

Against all those island-heavy itineraries, Beyond’s weekends serve a different purpose. Three nights leaves limited room for an extensive Caribbean trip. It does, however, make sense for passengers choosing the ship as the main attraction. Giving people a shorter way to try the Edge Series is a smart use of Beyond.
