Seabourn Quest to Sail 30-Day Amazon Voyage From Miami
The sailing is part of Seabourn's Ruby Jubilee program for its 40th anniversary, with two Caribbean holiday cruises and a 138-day world cruise to follow.
Seabourn will send the 458-passenger Seabourn Quest on a 30-day Amazon voyage roundtrip from Miami from November 18 to December 18, 2028. The itinerary will visit 15 destinations across seven countries and include an overnight call in Manaus, Brazil.
The “Amazon Explorer: Rivers & Rainforests” sailing will form part of Seabourn’s Ruby Jubilee program for its 40th anniversary. Two Caribbean holiday cruises and a 138-day world cruise will follow.
Manaus overnight anchors Amazon itinerary
The voyage will combine Amazon River scenic cruising with calls at Santarem, Boca da Valeria and Parintins in Brazil. Santarem lies near the meeting point of the Amazon and Tapajos rivers, while Boca da Valeria will provide access to a small riverside community surrounded by rainforest.
Outside Brazil, featured calls include Devil’s Island in French Guiana and Gustavia in Saint Barthelemy. The latter is also part of Seabourn’s 2028-29 Caribbean program, which includes visits to smaller ports such as Bequia and Little Bay, Montserrat.
“The Amazon is one of the world’s most fascinating destinations, offering a sense of exploration unlike anywhere else in the world,” Seabourn President Mark Tamis said.
Built in 2011, the approximately 32,000-gross-ton Seabourn Quest recently completed a drydock that updated its suites, public areas, dining venues and spa.
Caribbean sailings lead into 138-day world cruise
After returning to Miami from the Amazon, Seabourn Quest will operate two 10-day Caribbean holiday voyages. Seabourn’s holiday program includes New Year’s Day activities at Carambola Beach in St. Kitts, while select 10-day itineraries schedule Christmas Eve there and Christmas Day in Jost Van Dyke.
The ship will depart Miami on January 7, 2029, for the “World Cruise: Iconic Islands & Remote Horizons.” The 138-day itinerary will cover more than 32,000 nautical miles before reaching Lisbon on May 26, visiting 58 destinations in 31 countries and territories.
That voyage includes 20 extended stays, among them overnight calls at Lima, Easter Island, Bora Bora, Bali, Singapore, Sydney, Zanzibar and Cape Town. Other scheduled destinations range from Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Islands and Praslin in the Seychelles to Antsiranana, Madagascar, and Akaroa, New Zealand.
Bookings for the world cruise are open. A 10% early-booking discount runs through September 17, 2026. Full-voyage benefits include roundtrip business-class air, a pre-cruise hotel night in Miami, shipboard credit, an overnight Bali land program and upgraded Wi-Fi for two devices.
Seabourn also plans to sell extended segments of the world cruise and will release itinerary and availability details closer to launch.
