Regent Unveils Six Original Shows for Seven Seas Prestige
Nicholas Bursoni curated 781 costumes and custom accessories for productions ranging from opera and Broadway pop arrangements to a Zacapa rum tasting with maritime stories.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has unveiled six original productions and a new Broadway and West End performance series for the 822-guest Seven Seas Prestige. The entertainment program will debut on the ship’s December 28, 2026, maiden voyage from PortMiami. The Broadway Experience follows on January 20, 2027.
The program introduces Regent’s first onboard DJ, jazz duo and string duo, alongside a new speaker series, Luminaries at Sea.
“Our guests are curious and well-traveled, and they expect evenings with real substance, delivered with the polish that defines Regent,” said Wesley D’Silva, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Broadway performers and expanded live music
The Broadway Experience will bring current and recent Broadway and West End performers to the Constellation Theatre, accompanied by a live orchestra. Following its launch aboard Seven Seas Prestige, the series will operate on selected Regent ships during 2027.
The announced performers include Kerry Ellis, the first British actress to play Elphaba in the West End production of Wicked and a longtime collaborator of Queen guitarist Brian May. Also joining the lineup are Tony Award nominee Charl Brown, who played Smokey Robinson in Motown: The Musical, and Keri Rene Fuller, who recently played Elphaba on Broadway.
Live music elsewhere aboard will span the Prestige Lounge, Meridian Lounge and Observation Lounge. The new musical acts will join a cocktail pianist and contemporary duo, with sets adapted to the individual venues.
“We wanted entertainment on Seven Seas Prestige to feel like part of the voyage rather than something that happens after dinner,” said Daniel Bartrope, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ director of entertainment operations and enrichment.
Six productions across the theatre and lounges
The Prestige Production Company will perform the original shows under the leadership of Bryan White, vice president of entertainment creative development at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, who also serves as executive producer. Nicholas Bursoni, the company’s senior manager of theatrical costuming, curated a collection comprising 781 costumes and custom accessories.
In the Constellation Theatre, Allegro will give opera arias and Broadway ballads contemporary pop arrangements. Rewind will focus on 1980s music, with choreography by Emily Evenden, whose credits include television’s Dance Moms, and costumes by Tony-nominated designer Ryan Park.
The theatre will also host Viva Vedette, a showgirl revue drawing on the Copacabana and Folies Bergere. Two-time Tony nominee Kevin Duda directs, with choreography by Emmy winner Karla Puno Garcia, who choreographed the 76th Annual Tony Awards.
Riviera Luxe combines contemporary songs and older hits with dance and visuals inspired by the world’s Rivieras. Its director, Kevin Black, previously created Ignite the Night and ICONS for Seven Seas Grandeur; Dancing with the Stars professional Britt Stewart is the choreographer.
The Starlight Atrium will host a two-part production built around the dinner schedule. Golden Hour brings together live music, costumed performers, Champagne, hors d’oeuvres and opportunities for photographs before dinner. Golden Night follows dinner with vocalists, musicians and dancing.
In the Meridian Lounge, Tipples & Tales: A Zacapa Rum Voyage will combine a guided rum tasting with maritime stories, music and theatrical performances by members of the entertainment cast.
“These six original productions were created to bring a new level of artistry and variety to the Regent stage,” White said.
Speaker lineup still to come
Luminaries at Sea will operate as a fleetwide series of conversations with invited thinkers, explorers, innovators and other guest speakers. Featured participants elsewhere in the fleet include Grammy Award winner Melissa Manchester and author and forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs, whose work inspired the Temperance Brennan novels and television series Bones.
Seven Seas Prestige’s inaugural season will include Caribbean and European itineraries. Regent will announce the ship’s Luminaries at Sea speakers at a later date.
