Nicko Cruises Unveils 2027 River Brochure With 81 Routes
In Croatia, the 38-guest Liberty, refurbished in 2024, will sail eight-day Dalmatian coast cruises from Trogir, with routes combinable into 15 days.
Nicko cruises has published its River Cruises 2027 brochure, with 22 ships scheduled to operate 81 routes across 33 waterways in 21 countries. New options include a three-river itinerary from Cologne, a return to China and expanded Advent and year-end sailings.
The Croatia program will introduce the 38-guest Liberty, built in 2011 and refurbished in 2024, on unchanged Dalmatian coast itineraries. Guests can take eight-day cruises from Trogir or combine the northern and southern coastal routes into a 15-day voyage.
“For us, it is not only the itinerary that matters, but the way of traveling,” said Guido Laukamp, managing director of nicko cruises.
New departures from Cologne
The new nine-day route aboard nickoSPIRIT combines the Rhine, Moselle and Saar. The ship heads first to Andernach, then visits Treis-Karden, Bernkastel and Cochem along the Moselle.
The itinerary also includes Remich in Luxembourg and Trier in Germany. The ship passes through Koblenz on the return to Cologne.
For the festive season, Rhine Melodie will operate a new six-day Advent cruise from Cologne to Strasbourg and Breisach. A separate 14-day Christmas and New Year sailing will visit Amsterdam, Strasbourg and Mainz before returning to its Cologne departure port.
China returns alongside French wine-region cruising
The China program features a 14-day journey that includes sailing aboard Victoria Sabrina on the Yangtze. The trip begins in Shanghai and visits Zhujiajiao before continuing to Xi’an and Beijing.
In France, Cyrano De Bergerac will operate an eight-day journey departing from Bordeaux and following the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde waterways. The itinerary includes the Médoc wine region and the citadel of Blaye, along with an excursion from Libourne to Saint-Émilion. Passengers then spend two nights in a Bordeaux hotel.
Portugal extension and themed departures
Nicko has added an Algarve extension to a 12-day Portugal journey linked to its Douro program. The trip includes Nazaré and Praia do Norte, known for its giant waves, as well as a boat excursion to Benagil Cave and a visit to Cabo de São Vicente, Europe’s southwesternmost point.
The company has separately announced its 2027 event and theme cruises. These include an eight-day Danube itinerary aboard Bolero with a focus on hiking.
