Carnival Moves 70 More Baltimore and Sydney Departures Earlier

Two 14-night Carnival Journeys cruises from Baltimore, departing January 10 and October 31, 2027, will retain their scheduled 4:30 p.m. sailaway times.

Carnival Cruise Line has moved departure times 30 minutes earlier on 70 additional cruises aboard Carnival Pride from Baltimore and Carnival Adventure from Sydney, bringing the total to 316 affected sailings. The latest changes cover selected departures from December 2026 through November 2027.

Six ships across five homeports in the United States and Australia now have revised sailaway schedules. The adjustments do not change destinations, scheduled port visits, time in port or homeport return times. Carnival is notifying booked passengers by email but has not disclosed a specific reason for the changes.

Baltimore departures retain two exceptions

Carnival Pride will leave Baltimore at 4 p.m., replacing its scheduled 4:30 p.m. departure, on 47 cruises. The revised schedule begins December 6, 2026, with a seven-night Bahamas itinerary visiting RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay; Nassau; and Celebration Key. All remaining departures that month also move to the earlier time.

In 2027, the adjustment covers departures from January 3 through November 21, with two exceptions: January 10 and October 31. Both are 14-night Carnival Journeys cruises and retain their 4:30 p.m. sailaway times. The January voyage visits the Eastern Caribbean, while the October itinerary includes Eastern and Southern Caribbean ports.

Selected Sydney cruises move to 3 p.m.

Carnival Adventure will depart at 3 p.m. instead of 3:30 p.m. on 23 cruises. All affected sailings leave from Sydney, but the change does not apply to every departure from that port.

The revised time applies to the ship’s December 4, 7 and 27, 2026, departures. The affected dates in 2027 are:

  • January 19 and 23
  • May 8, 10, 14 and 21
  • August 2, 6, 9, 13, 21 and 24
  • September 2, 19 and 23
  • October 2, 10 and 14
  • November 12 and 25

Earlier notices cover four other ships

The latest revisions follow changes aboard Carnival Elation, Carnival Glory, Carnival Liberty and Carnival Splendor. Each of those ships now has a 3 p.m. departure scheduled in place of 3:30 p.m. on its affected voyages.

From Jacksonville, Carnival Elation has 77 adjusted departures, covering every sailing from December 3, 2026, through November 22, 2027. The ship operates four- and five-night Bahamas cruises.

Carnival Glory has 76 affected departures from Port Canaveral. The changes cover sailings from December 14 through December 31, 2026, followed by four periods in 2027: February 1–April 26, May 15–September 10, October 4–15 and November 8–26. Its itineraries run three or four nights to the Bahamas.

From New Orleans, Carnival Liberty has 47 revised departures, covering every sailing from January 3 through November 20, 2027. Most are seven-night cruises, with a six-night Belize and Cozumel voyage on November 14 and an eight-night Bahamas itinerary on the final affected date.

Carnival Splendor accounts for another 46 departures from Sydney: five in December 2026 and 41 during 2027. Its revised schedule begins December 8, 2026, and extends through November 23, 2027, although not every sailing within that period is affected.

Boarding deadlines precede departure

Carnival’s guest notifications state that “all guests must be on board no later than the final boarding time specified on the boarding pass.” The new sailaway times are not deadlines for arriving at the terminal.

The line’s embarkation guidance requires passengers to complete check-in and be aboard at least 90 minutes before departure. Guests select a terminal arrival appointment during online check-in and are instructed to arrive within that window. Passengers who reach the terminal too late may be denied boarding, and Carnival’s ticket contract generally does not provide a refund or compensation for guests who fail to board at embarkation.

For cruises departing a U.S. port for a foreign destination, the complete electronic passenger and crew manifest must be transmitted to U.S. Customs and Border Protection no later than 60 minutes before departure.
