Regent Unveils Galileo’s Bar for Seven Seas Prestige
Galileo’s Bar will serve astronomy-themed cocktails such as the Astronomer’s Negroni, and Seven Seas Prestige’s inaugural crossing will take 14 nights from Barcelona to Miami.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises unveiled new bar and beverage concepts on October 6 for Seven Seas Prestige, including Galileo’s Bar and drinks menus for Azure and Solmar Terrace. The offerings will debut when the ship departs Barcelona on its maiden voyage on December 13, 2026.
The program pairs an Italian aperitivo bar with restaurant drinks menus built around Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food and outdoor dining. It also extends Regent’s practice of creating a signature cocktail for each vessel in its fleet.
“Each venue has been thoughtfully crafted to create its own sense of atmosphere and occasion,” said Wesley D’Silva, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Galileo’s Bar introduces Negroni variations
Galileo’s Bar will focus on pre-dinner drinks, with Italian spirits and astronomy-themed cocktails. Its Negroni Observatory collection includes the Astronomer’s Negroni, which pairs mezcal with Beefeater Gin and Cocchi Storico Vermouth di Torino, and the Comet Negroni, made with Italicus, gin and Noilly Prat Vermouth.
Beyond the Negronis, Jupiter’s Garden brings together basil, gin and Frangelico, while the Dark Matter Espresso Martini uses vodka and Amaro Montenegro with espresso. The Venetian Moon combines lychee and basil with gin and lemon.
The vessel’s namesake drink uses Patron Silver Tequila and Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto as its base. The recipe adds agave syrup, lime juice and egg white, with a choice of grapefruit or orange bitters; Himalayan salt and a dehydrated lime wheel complete the presentation.
Restaurant menus pair drinks with food and setting
Solmar Terrace at Compass Rose will serve wines and cocktails emphasizing citrus and herbs. The outdoor venue’s Pearl of the Riviera combines Prosecco with Grey Goose La Poire, Luxardo Aperitivo and Cocchi Americano. Another selection, Imperial Yuzu, brings together junmai daiginjo sake, yuzu sake liqueur and Italicus, also with Prosecco.
The terrace’s menu also includes a Harissa Bloody Mary and a Mediterranean Paloma made with blanco tequila, rosemary honey, pink grapefruit and soda water. Located on deck five, Solmar Terrace will offer daytime dining from noon until 6 p.m., with food ranging from sushi and tapas to Korean beef short rib and crema Catalana.
At Azure, regional wines, herbal cocktails and citrus spritzes will accompany the restaurant’s mezze-style dining. The food menu includes miso-roasted eggplant and lobster orzo saganaki. Dining there will be included in the cruise fare.
Azure’s Monastery Sour uses brandy and Benedictine with thyme syrup and lemon, served over crushed ice. The Beet and Pear Sour combines pear vodka and beetroot juice, while Provence Bloom brings peach, lavender and elderflower flavors to a gin-and-tonic-based drink.
Alcohol-free selections will be available across the new concepts. Galileo’s Orbit Zero Espresso Martini uses espresso with Lyre’s Dark Cane and Amaretti. At Solmar Terrace, the Orchard Fizz combines rosemary with apple and lemon juices, while the Dark ’n Spicy uses Lyre’s Spiced Cane Spirit, ginger beer, lime and sugar-free vanilla syrup. Azure will offer water infused with cucumber, pomegranate, orange or lemon.
The ship’s wider drinks offering will extend through the Prestige and Meridian lounges, the panoramic Observation Lounge and the Art Deco-inspired Connoisseur Lounge. The Casino, outdoor Pool Bar and Coffee Connection round out the announced venues, with cocktails, wines and spirits also available in the restaurants.
The inaugural crossing will take 14 nights to reach Miami. Caribbean sailings will follow before the ship returns to Europe in May 2027.
