Silversea Unveils 103 Voyages for 2028-29 Season
Silver Moon and Silver Muse will add Kobe and Bali as turnaround ports, while Maizuru, which serves Kyoto, is among eight new calls on their Asia itineraries.
Silversea has unveiled 103 voyages for September 2028 through May 2029, including new S.A.L.T. culinary sailings and a 75-night South America circuit. The program spans 219 destinations in 56 countries.
The collection includes 29 new ports of call, a two-ship winter Mediterranean deployment and new turnaround options in Asia. Several itineraries are timed around cultural events and seasonal attractions, from Carnival celebrations to regional truffle harvests.
Culinary sailings and winter Mediterranean calls
Three new “Wine & Truffle” voyages will sail aboard Silver Dawn between October and December 2028, visiting Italy and Spain. The additions to S.A.L.T. Culinary Voyages will feature programming led by local food experts, chefs, sommeliers and mixologists.
Itineraries connect Livorno, the gateway to Tuscany, with Palamos near Catalonia’s truffle-producing areas. Activities include truffle hunts, vineyard visits with guides and tastings aboard the ship.
Silver Muse will operate four “Asian Markets” sailings between Singapore and Hong Kong. Their culinary excursions include market visits led by chefs, tours with local food specialists, and stops at hawker stalls and street-food venues.
In the Mediterranean, Silver Dawn and Silver Nova will operate 17 voyages between October 2028 and March 2029. Brindisi and Imperia join the port lineup, and passengers can combine Eastern and Western Mediterranean itineraries.
Silver Dawn’s overnight stays at Fusina, serving Venice, will give passengers time ashore during Carnival after dark, including a Casanova-inspired evening event. Another departure will remain in Funchal for New Year’s Eve, with fireworks visible from the ship, before continuing to Casablanca and Tangier.
Other overnight ports include Istanbul, Valletta, Naples, Livorno, Genoa and Cadiz. Three sailings will visit Alexandria, with an excursion covering the Great Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum, while two additional sailings include Istanbul.
Grand South America voyage
Silver Nova will depart Fort Lauderdale on January 13, 2029, for its Grand South America voyage, returning March 29. The route includes a Panama Canal transit and scenic cruising along the Antarctic Peninsula, with overnight stays in Manaus, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Callao for Lima, and Cartagena.
Three private events are planned for the voyage. In St. Barts, passengers will attend a sunset reception offering champagne and local cocktails, followed by dinner and live music. In Rio, they will watch Carnival from reserved space at the Sambadrome with dedicated hospitality service.
The final event will take place in Cartagena before the ship returns to Florida. A private rooftop venue overlooking the bay will host musicians, dancers and cultural performances.
Four-ship Caribbean season
Silver Ray, Silver Nova, Silver Spirit and Silver Shadow will operate 38 Caribbean and Central America voyages between November 2028 and March 2029. The deployment covers 34 destinations across 21 countries, with La Romana in the Dominican Republic joining the schedule.
Round-trip departures are available from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and San Juan. Silver Ray and Silver Spirit will sail eight- to 12-day itineraries from Miami, pairing St. Barts with Antigua, Anguilla or St. Kitts, depending on the departure.
A full-day call at Canouan, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, will include an exclusive event. Local dancers and a steel band will provide a Carnival-style welcome, followed by a private beach day and a beachside gathering with food, drinks and live music. Silversea has not identified the beach venue or specified which departures will include the Canouan event.
Asia turnarounds and Australia combinations
Silver Moon and Silver Muse will operate 26 Asia voyages, reaching 62 destinations in 11 countries. Kobe and Bali will become turnaround ports, adding options for passengers combining itineraries.
The eight new Asian calls are Yeosu, Hitachinaka, Miyako-jima, Vigan, Muara, Sihanoukville, Makassar and Maizuru, which serves Kyoto. Selected sailings will coincide with Japan’s cherry blossom season and Lunar New Year in Hong Kong.
Silver Moon’s Australia and New Zealand deployment comprises 10 voyages between October 2028 and March 2029, visiting 42 destinations across three countries. New calls include Batemans Bay and Phillip Island, alongside scenic cruising through Dusky Sound.
The schedule also introduces additional ways to combine New Zealand itineraries, including a Melbourne round trip, and new routes connecting Australia with Indonesia. Silver Moon will spend New Year’s Eve overnight in Sydney.
The launch announcement did not include an executive statement. Venetian Society members received a preview on October 6, 2026, ahead of general reservations opening on October 8, 2026.
