Aman at Sea Announces Amangati’s 2027 Caribbean Inaugural Season
Under construction at T. Mariotti in Genoa, Amangati is planned with 47 suites across nine decks, plus six tenders and two helipads for shore transfers.
Aman at Sea has announced a 19-voyage inaugural Caribbean season for Amangati, running from November 21, 2027, through March 20, 2028. The five- to eight-night sailings cover the Leeward, Windward and Dutch Caribbean islands, with a winter expansion into the Greater Antilles.
The schedule adds 12 itineraries to the previously announced autumn program, extending the yacht’s first Caribbean deployment into winter. New destinations include the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe and the Grenadines.
The 23,000-gross-ton, 94-guest Amangati remains under construction at T. Mariotti in Genoa, Italy. Aman at Sea’s first vessel is scheduled to enter service in May 2027, beginning with a Mediterranean season before crossing the Atlantic to Saint John’s, Antigua, for its Caribbean deployment.
Caribbean routes and holiday sailings
Holiday departures in the autumn program include a seven-night voyage from Bridgetown, Barbados, to Saint John’s, with a New Year’s celebration at a private resort on Nevis.
The winter schedule begins January 2. Greater Antilles itineraries travel west from St. Maarten and the British Virgin Islands to Hispaniola, adding Dominican Republic calls at Samaná, Cap Cana and La Romana.
Windward Islands departures from Antigua and Barbados include Saint-Pierre in Martinique, Marie-Galante in Guadeloupe and Bequia in the Grenadines. Other calls on these routes include Portsmouth, Dominica; Soufrière, St. Lucia; Anse d’Arlet, Martinique; and Canouan in the Grenadines.
In the Leeward Islands, the program includes Little Bay in Montserrat, Basseterre in St. Kitts and Gustavia in Saint Barthélemy. British Virgin Islands stops include Jost Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda, while the schedule also features Prickly Pear Cays off Anguilla, Philipsburg in St. Maarten and a dedicated Marina Day at Barbuda.
Dutch Caribbean itineraries operate from Bridgetown and Oranjestad, Aruba, visiting Curaçao’s Willemstad and Bonaire’s Kralendijk. These routes also include Tobago Cays in the Grenadines and St. George’s, Grenada.
Schedules include overnight stays and late departures, with anchoring preferred to berthing. Shore programming will offer cultural, culinary and naturalist-led activities, while guests can arrange individual excursions through a concierge. Aman at Sea plans to release further details of the shoreside experiences.
Ship facilities and preparations for service
Amangati will have 47 suites, measuring between 731 and 3,811 square feet, across nine decks. Each suite will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and a large balcony, with interiors drawing on Japanese ryokans. The yacht is planned to carry 207 crew, and guests will have access to a dedicated suite host.
Facilities include four restaurants, a jazz club, cinema, Aman Spa, beach club and an aft swimming pool. Two helipads and six tenders are planned for transfers between the yacht and shore.
Aman at Sea has appointed Capt. Ertan Vasvi to command the vessel. He will work with the shore-based team during construction and prepare the deck and bridge personnel for the inaugural season.
With the vessel’s limited passenger capacity, “technical command and genuine hospitality are held in the same hands,” Vasvi said.
Vasvi joined Seabourn as staff captain in 2018 and has held command since 2023. Beginning in 2021, he spent two years at T. Mariotti leading shoreside work on deck, nautical and expedition operations during the construction and delivery of Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit. He previously served with Silversea from 2009 to 2018, progressing through officer and staff captain roles.
Following the Caribbean season, Amangati will return toward Europe on an 11-night Atlantic crossing from Antigua, calling at Philipsburg and Gustavia. The passage will end in Funchal, Madeira.
