AIDA Plans Dance and True-Crime Sailings for January 2027
The dance program will feature “Let’s Dance” personalities including Joachim Llambi and Ross Antony, with classes in venues such as the Cube and Beach Club.
Rostock-based AIDA Cruises has announced two January 2027 themed sailings: “AIDA Dances” in the Canary Islands and Madeira aboard AIDAcosma, and “Crime & Sea” on AIDAnova’s Hamburg round-trip metropolitan route. The seven-night programs are scheduled for Jan. 16-23 and Jan. 23-30, 2027, with lead-in fares of €615 and €775 per person, respectively.
The dance cruise is returning for its fourth edition, while the crime-focused sailing adds a true-crime format to AIDA’s winter program. Both products pair regular itineraries with onboard workshops, entertainment and subject-specific programming.
Dance program returns to the Canary Islands
“AIDA Dances” will sail round trip from Gran Canaria on the AIDAcosma, operating around the Canary Islands to Madeira. The 2027 departure follows the 2026 edition, which sailed Jan. 17-24, 2026, on the same ship.
The onboard program will include professional dancers associated with the German TV show “Let’s Dance.” Announced personalities include juror and dance expert Joachim Llambi and entertainer Ross Antony, along with Ekaterina Leonova, Malika Dzumaev, Mariia Maksina, Patricija and Alexandru Ionel, and Renata and Valentin Lusin.
AIDA said complimentary dance classes will be offered for different experience levels in venues including the Cube and the Beach Club. The curriculum will cover standard and Latin styles such as cha-cha-cha, tango and foxtrot, as well as more contemporary formats. Show performances and evening events are also planned.
Pricing for “AIDA Dances” starts at €615 per person for an inside cabin based on double occupancy, using the premium fare and including an early-booking discount.
True-crime sailing planned from Hamburg
“Crime & Sea” will operate Jan. 23-30, 2027, aboard sister ship AIDAnova. The sailing will run round trip from Hamburg and call at Southampton for London, Le Havre for Paris, Zeebrugge for Brussels and Rotterdam.
The shipboard program will cover real and fictional criminal cases, investigative work and forensic topics. AIDA said specialists will lead sessions on areas including crime-scene analysis, evidence preservation and crime reconstruction, with interactive formats and workshops included in the schedule.
Shore excursions tied to the crime theme are also planned in ports on the route. The fare starts at €775 per person for an inside cabin based on double occupancy under the premium pricing category.
AIDA has not yet named the authors, podcasters or actors who will take part in the “Crime & Sea” program. The line said those guests will be announced later.
