TUI River Cruises Sets First Music Cruise on the Rhine for 2026

BBC Radio's Gary Davies and ABBA tribute band Revival headline the program, which also includes silent discos, decade quizzes and era-themed film screenings.

TUI River Cruises will operate its first music-themed sailing in November 2026, a three-night “Rewind on the Rhine” cruise aboard the TUI Skyla. The round trip departs Frankfurt on Nov. 18, calls at Koblenz and Rudesheim, and returns Nov. 21 with a 1970s and 1980s entertainment program headlined by BBC Radio DJ Gary Davies and ABBA tribute band Revival.

Founded in 2019, TUI River Cruises began operating in 2021 with three refurbished river ships: TUI Maya, TUI Skyla and TUI Isla.

The itinerary pairs German Rhine cruising through castle, vineyard and riverside-town areas with onboard events built around music and films from the two decades. TUI plans silent discos, quizzes organized by decade, performances by the ship’s entertainment team and film screenings tied to the era. The cruise will also include a birthday-themed event for TUI River Cruises’ fifth anniversary.

Katy Berzins, head of river cruise at TUI River Cruises, said the sailing will “bring the spirit of music through the decades, packed with nostalgia, entertainment and fun.” Berzins said the product is intended for both repeat TUI River guests and customers trying river cruising for the first time.

“I cannot wait to bring customers back to the glory years of music whilst sailing the river Rhine,” Davies said.

Separately, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has scheduled four world-music voyages aboard Europa in 2026 and 2027, ranging from 10- and 12-day European coastal itineraries to a 29-day Valparaiso-to-San Francisco cruise in 2027. Starting fares in that announced program run from €4,690 per person, double occupancy, for the Nov. 5-15, 2026 Palma-to-Malaga sailing to €12,890 for the 2027 Pacific coast itinerary.

“Rewind on the Rhine” is now on sale. Prices start at £799 per person.
