Tianjin Cruise Homeport Sets 2026 Daily Passenger Record

Adora Cruises’ Mediterranea sailed a seven-day roundtrip from Tianjin calling at Yeosu, Busan and Jeju, with a Peking-opera program offered during the holiday.

Tianjin International Cruise Homeport processed about 10,500 passengers on October 1, 2026, its highest single-day total of the year, as two cruise ships and a passenger-cargo ferry called on China’s National Day. Authorities put the passenger count at more than twice the level recorded on the same date in 2025.

The wider National Day holiday window accounted for 19,500 international cruise passengers. Ahead of the holiday, Tianjin had handled 70 cruise calls and more than 200,000 cruise passengers through September, according to Tianjin Port Group.

The three ships were Adora Cruises’ 85,619-gross-ton Mediterranea, Tianjin Oriental Cruises’ roughly 103,000-gross-ton Visio and Weidong Shipping’s 660-passenger Xinjinqiao V.

Mediterranea departed on a seven-day roundtrip itinerary from Tianjin, with calls at Yeosu, Busan and Jeju. During the National Day vacation period, Adora is offering a Peking-opera cultural program aboard the ship, alongside workshops involving the China National Peking Opera Company.

Visio’s six-day roundtrip voyage called at Jeju and Incheon. Tianjin Oriental Cruises offered the sailing as a short-haul family cruise.

Xinjinqiao V, also known as New Golden Bridge V, made its restart sailing on the Tianjin–Incheon route. The vessel carries passengers and roll-on/roll-off cargo.

Visio reached the homeport first, early in the morning. Mediterranea arrived next, followed by Xinjinqiao V. The homeport, at the southern end of Dongjiang Peninsula, began operating in 2010.

Two additional cruise ships are scheduled to call at Tianjin in mid-October.
