Strictly Stars Debut Eras on Saga’s Canaries Cruise

Tsiakkas will lead salsa lessons and Simone a festive foxtrot workshop, while Victoria Martin and Simone Arena join the Eras cast in the Playhouse Theatre.

Former Strictly Come Dancing professionals Michelle Tsiakkas and Vincent Simone will give the first public performance of Eras on Saga Cruises’ 14-night Best of the Canaries voyage. The sailing departs Portsmouth on December 6, 2026, aboard Spirit of Discovery.

The new show combines performances tracing the history of Latin and ballroom dance with accounts of the pair’s time on Strictly and their wider dance careers. It will premiere in the ship’s Playhouse Theatre, with Dancing With the Stars dancers Victoria Martin and Simone Arena joining the cast.

Passengers can also take lessons. Tsiakkas will lead salsa classes, teaching steps and techniques, while Simone will host a festive foxtrot workshop open to guests of all abilities.

The itinerary includes Gran Canaria and Tenerife, as well as calls in Madeira and Lisbon. Fares start at £2,999 per person under a limited-time promotion. Saga’s ocean cruises are aimed at travellers aged 50 and over.

Chartered horticulturalist and television presenter David Domoney, whose credits include Love Your Garden and ITV’s This Morning, will also appear on the voyage. His sessions will cover garden watering methods and the ways gardening and contact with nature can support health, happiness and daily life.

Astronomer Tom Boles will also give talks during the voyage, while chocolatier Mark Tilling will host tastings.

Dame Jayne Torvill and Sir Christopher Dean appeared aboard Spirit of Discovery on the Northern Lights and Festive Delights cruise in late 2025. The ice dancers are now booked for the Canary Island Wonders sailing aboard Spirit of Adventure in December 2026. Their appearances will cover careers that included British, European and world championship titles, alongside behind-the-scenes accounts of their work as coaches and judges on ITV’s Dancing on Ice.
