Seabourn Returns to Egypt in 2029 Summer Programme
Selected Mediterranean sailings will include Seabourn's complimentary Evening at Ephesus, with private after-hours access and classical music among the ancient city's illuminated ruins.
Seabourn has announced 166 sailings to more than 180 destinations for summer 2029, including its first visits to Egypt in more than five years and a new seven-day itinerary into the Gulf of Bothnia. The programme spans the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska, Canada and New England.
Crystal Morgan, Seabourn’s senior director of deployment and itinerary planning, said the collection was developed to give passengers more opportunities to explore destinations in depth. Longer port calls and overnight stays feature across the schedule, alongside visits to smaller harbours accessible to the line’s ships.
Egypt return anchors Mediterranean programme
The 600-guest Seabourn Ovation will operate 21 distinct itineraries between March and November, covering the Western Mediterranean, Italy, the Adriatic and the Aegean. Selected departures will stay overnight in Alexandria, allowing additional time for excursions to Cairo, the Great Pyramids of Giza and other historical sites.
The Mediterranean schedule includes a maiden call at Kapsali, on the Greek island of Kythira. Themed voyages built around cultural heritage and historic landmarks include Italian Coast & Fireworks Over Corsica and Pyramids & Evening at Ephesus.
Selected sailings will offer the complimentary Evening at Ephesus event, combining private access to the ancient city after regular visiting hours with a classical music performance among the illuminated ruins. Guests will also be able to join Shopping with the Chef outings, accompanying Seabourn chefs to markets and specialist food shops to explore local ingredients and culinary traditions.
Quest links northern routes with an autumn Canada season
Seabourn Quest’s Northern Europe deployment runs from May through September, with itineraries across Scandinavia, the Baltic, the British Isles, Arctic Norway, Iceland and Greenland. Its new Gulf of Bothnia route will introduce maiden calls at Harnosand in Sweden and the Finnish destinations of Kemi, Rauma and Oulu.
Alta and Froya will also receive maiden calls during the season. Extended visits or overnight stays are scheduled in Bordeaux, Rouen, Helsinki, Tallinn, Edinburgh and Hamburg, while Turku, Finland’s oldest city, is also on the programme.
Passengers will be able to combine selected departures into journeys lasting 14, 21, 28 days or longer, covering multiple regions within one itinerary.
In September and October, Quest will operate 12- and 13-day Canada and New England voyages. Overnight calls are planned in Boston, Quebec City and St. John’s, alongside visits to Gaspe, Iles-de-la-Madeleine and Prince Edward Island. Shore experiences on those departures will cover maritime history, French Canadian heritage, local cuisine and natural attractions, along with coastal communities and autumn scenery.
Alaska deployment includes longer northern voyages
Seabourn Encore, a 600-guest sister ship to Ovation, will return to Alaska from May through September. The ship will offer seven-day voyages between Juneau and Vancouver, plus 10- and 11-day itineraries reaching farther north to destinations including Valdez, Whittier and College Fjord.
Every Alaska departure will include glacier viewing. Seabourn’s Expedition Team will provide commentary on wildlife, landscapes and cultural heritage, and selected itineraries will also feature scenic cruising along British Columbia’s coastline through the Great Bear Rainforest, where marine wildlife includes whales and orcas.
Optional Ventures by Seabourn excursions will offer Zodiac cruises and kayaking led by the onboard Expedition Team.
