Royal Caribbean Sets 50 Southern Europe Itineraries for 2027
Royal Beach Club Santorini is part of the Ultimate Santorini Day excursion, with transport through Oia and Fira and access to a volcanic black-sand beach.
Royal Caribbean will deploy seven ships on 50 Southern Europe itineraries in summer 2027, led by the return of Legend of the Seas to the Western Mediterranean. The program covers Spain, Italy, France, the Greek Islands and selected calls in Egypt, Portugal and Morocco, with Freedom of the Seas separately scheduled for Northern Europe and the United Kingdom. The company outlined the season in a social media update, but did not list starting fares or include an executive statement.
Legend of the Seas returns to the Western Mediterranean
Legend of the Seas, part of Royal Caribbean’s Icon class, is scheduled to operate summer cruises to Spain, Italy and France in 2027.
Mariner of the Seas and Rhapsody of the Seas are also slated for the Western Mediterranean program. Royal Caribbean named Italian destinations including Rome, Florence, Capri and the Amalfi Coast among the itinerary features for the three-ship lineup.
Greek Islands sailings include Santorini beach club calls
The Eastern Mediterranean schedule includes Odyssey of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Rhapsody of the Seas and Brilliance of the Seas. The Greek Islands itineraries include Mykonos and Royal Beach Club Santorini, the company’s new private-destination product on the island.
Royal Beach Club Santorini is offered as part of the Ultimate Santorini Day shore excursion, which includes transportation to and through Oia and Fira. The beach-club portion includes access to Santorini’s volcanic black-sand beach, Greek food, selected drinks, loungers, umbrellas, Wi-Fi and DJ entertainment.
Royal Caribbean is also assigning Odyssey of the Seas and Rhapsody of the Seas to itineraries calling in Egypt, Portugal and Morocco. Those sailings call at Alexandria, Porto and Casablanca.
Freedom shifts north as Mariner moves to the Mediterranean
Beyond the seven-ship Southern Europe deployment, Freedom of the Seas is scheduled to sail in Northern Europe and the United Kingdom in 2027. The ship had previously been set for a Florida program before Royal Caribbean updated its Europe deployment earlier this year.
Royal Caribbean also moved Mariner of the Seas to the Western Mediterranean from an earlier plan to sail from the United Kingdom.
