Oceania Regatta to Leave Fleet for 368-Day My Cruises Charter

The first My Cruises program is aimed at guests from Australia and New Zealand, with segments from ten nights and calls in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Indian Ocean.

Oceania Cruises’ Regatta will leave the line’s fleet in August 2026 before moving into a previously announced charter for My Cruises’ Explorations by Norwegian brand. The 684-passenger ship is scheduled to begin a 368-day world cruise for the Australian tour operator in September.

Regatta is not currently listed in Oceania’s deployment plans beyond 2026, and plans for the ship after the My Cruises charter have not been announced.

Regatta shifts to long world-cruise charter

The first My Cruises program is aimed at guests from Australia and New Zealand and includes calls in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Indian Ocean. Guests can book the full 368-day itinerary or shorter segments, with segment lengths starting at 10 nights.

My Cruises, the specialist cruising brand of Ignite Travel Group, has also renewed its charter contract for a second year. During the 2027-28 season, Regatta is scheduled to operate another world voyage that includes 230 destinations and a circumnavigation of Australia.

Regatta’s final scheduled Oceania sailing is a 10-night Eastern Mediterranean cruise from Dubrovnik to Istanbul. The open-jaw itinerary includes calls in Croatia, Greece, Montenegro and Turkey, with ports such as Kotor, Piraeus, Igoumenitsa, Bozcaada and Kusadasi.

The 30,277-gross-ton Regatta is about 594 feet long and carries roughly 670 to 684 guests at double occupancy, with a crew of about 372 to 400. Built for Renaissance Cruises by Chantiers de l’Atlantique, the ship entered service in 1998 and joined Oceania in the brand’s first year of operation in 2003.

Oceania adjusts its long-voyage fleet plans

Regatta is one of Oceania’s R-class ships, alongside Insignia, Nautica and Sirena, each listed at about 30,277 gross tons. Oceania’s current fleet also includes Marina and Riviera, both about 66,084 gross tons, and the Allura-class ships Vista and Allura, each at about 67,000 gross tons.

The line has separately announced plans to transform Nautica through a major refurbishment before the vessel returns as Oceania Aurelia. The renewed ship is expected to carry a product and design focused on longer voyages and take over Oceania’s grand and world cruises starting in late 2027.

Oceania has also placed additional Sonata-class newbuild orders with Fincantieri as part of its fleet pipeline. Oceania Aurelia is scheduled to debut in November 2027.
