Oceania Cruises Sets Five Hosted Specialty Sailings for 2027
The lineup includes a December 6 Reunion Cruise from Trieste to Athens aboard Oceania Aurelia, a Sonata Class newbuild expected in service by late 2027.
Oceania Cruises has set five Specialty Cruises for 2027, adding named culinary, travel and loyalty hosts to itineraries in the Mediterranean, Baltic and Japan. The departures run from June through December 2027, with voyages of 10 to 14 days aboard Oceania Vista, Oceania Marina, Oceania Riviera, Oceania Allura and the planned Oceania Aurelia.
The announcement gives Oceania a hosted-cruise lineup built around food programming, destination commentary and an end-of-year Reunion Cruise. The Aurelia departure brings the concept onto a newbuild expected to be in service by late 2027.
“Our 2027 Specialty Cruises represent the pairing of port-rich itineraries with hosts who bring true depth, access and perspective,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises. Montague said the voyages are intended to give guests access to experiences “only available on these specialty sailings.”
Culinary hosts lead the first three departures
The first departure is the 13-day Culinary Luminaries Specialty Cruise from Athens to Rome on June 2, 2027, aboard Oceania Vista. Executive Culinary Directors Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, both Master Chefs of France, are scheduled to host menus, tastings and demonstrations with guest chefs on a Western Mediterranean itinerary.
Sara Moulton hosts a 14-day roundtrip London sailing on Oceania Marina departing June 8, 2027. The Baltic voyage includes culinary demonstrations, exclusive events, special menus and a gala brunch led by Moulton, a chef, author, former Food Network personality and host of “Sara’s Weeknight Meals” on PBS.
Claudine Pepin is scheduled for an 11-day roundtrip Tokyo voyage on Oceania Riviera departing Sept. 30, 2027. Pepin, a James Beard Award winner, president of the Jacques Pepin Foundation and godmother of Oceania Sirena, will lead onboard cooking programming and join select shore excursions tied to Japanese culinary and cultural traditions.
Brown and Oceania executives host late-season sailings
Samantha Brown hosts a 10-day Trieste-to-Barcelona Mediterranean sailing aboard Oceania Allura departing Nov. 7, 2027. Oceania said Brown will provide destination commentary and conversations linked to selected ports during the Adriatic and Western Mediterranean itinerary.
The final listed departure is a 12-day Reunion Cruise from Trieste to Athens on Dec. 6, 2027, aboard Oceania Aurelia. Montague and Neli Arias, Head of the Oceania Club, are scheduled to host the sailing, which is open both to Oceania Club members and travelers taking their first Oceania cruise.
Pricing and newbuild timing
Oceania did not announce starting fares. Featured hosts and special guests are expected to participate, but Oceania said appearances and programming may change.
The line lists five Sonata Class ships on order with deliveries scheduled in 2027, 2029, 2032, 2035 and 2037.
