Crystal Serenity Adds New Suites After 2028 Lisbon Dry Dock
Each Junior Penthouse Premium Suite will offer 861 square feet of interior space and a 205-square-foot veranda, with layouts inspired by Crystal Symphony.
Crystal will add a Crystal Owner’s Suite and four Junior Penthouse Premium Suites to Crystal Serenity following the ship’s 2028 dry dock. The new accommodations, all midship on Deck 11, will be available for sailings beginning May 5, 2028.
The new premium penthouses will complement the ship’s six existing Junior Penthouse Deluxe Suites, with layouts inspired by those aboard Crystal Symphony.
“These new suites allow us to introduce fresh design elements and greater choice,” said Bernie Leypold, Crystal’s senior vice president of hotel operations.
Inside the new suites
Each Junior Penthouse Premium Suite will have 861 square feet of interior space and a veranda measuring 205 square feet.
The two-bedroom Owner’s Suite will provide 1,722 square feet indoors, plus a 409-square-foot private veranda. Naval architect and naval design historian Paolo Piccione will design the suite, incorporating wood flooring, custom wool carpeting, handcrafted cabinetry and fine fabrics.
Its living room will contain a fireplace and library. The ocean-facing dining area will be served by a butler pantry and personalized bar service, while a Hi-Fi system will supply music to both the indoor rooms and outdoor space. LED touch panels in the bedroom and living room will support multi-zone audio.
A king-size bed and two walk-in closets are planned for the primary bedroom, whose bathroom will have marble finishes throughout and a Jacuzzi. The second bedroom will have its own bathroom and a walk-in closet.
The Owner’s Suite will also contain Technogym exercise equipment positioned with ocean views. The equipment will come with personalized programming through Technogym Coach, along with integrated entertainment.
Refit schedule
Crystal has previously identified Lisbon as the location for the 2028 dry dock, which is scheduled after the vessel’s spring season. Built in 2003, the 68,870-gross-ton Crystal Serenity accommodates 740 guests and underwent a major refurbishment in 2023.
A separate dry dock is scheduled for October 2026. That work will include refurbishment of the Aquamarine Classic Suite category on Deck 10.
