Celebrity Reflection to Add 13 Venues in 2027 Overhaul

The redesigned Grand Plaza will center on a Martini Bar beneath a suspended chandelier, while Sunset Park adds cabanas, lawn games, outdoor movies and live music.

Celebrity Cruises will add 13 guest venues to Celebrity Reflection during a major overhaul scheduled to begin in late January 2027, extending its Solstice-class modernization program to a second ship. The 125,366-gross-ton vessel is expected to return in March 2027 with Edge Series-inspired public areas, new restaurants and bars, expanded entertainment space and two poolside dining concepts debuting for the fleet.

The project is part of Celebrity’s $250 million bow-to-stern refurbishment program for the Solstice-class ships, following Celebrity Solstice. The 2012-built, 1,047-foot Celebrity Reflection carries 3,046 passengers at double occupancy and 1,293 crew.

“Celebrity Cruises is constantly dreaming up ways to innovate and elevate what we deliver for our guests, which is what makes this fleet modernization program so much more than a refresh,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises.

Grand Plaza and pool deck anchor the project

The ship’s central atrium will be redesigned as Grand Plaza, a three-deck social hub adapted from Celebrity’s Edge Series ships. The space will center on a Martini Bar positioned beneath a suspended chandelier, with scheduled light displays, live music and other entertainment throughout the day and evening.

The main pool area will become Celebrity Pool Club, with more seating, added shade, daybeds and two bars. Celebrity is also adding Orange Peel Bar & Grille, serving smashburgers, grilled items and frozen cocktails, and Tacos del Sol, an open-air build-your-own taco venue.

At the top of the ship, Sunset Park will replace existing deck space with a lawn-style outdoor venue programmed for meditation, lawn games, outdoor movies and live music. The area will also include private cabanas with dedicated attendants, along with Sunset Park Cafe and Sunset Bar.

Dining and entertainment concepts arrive from newer ships

Several dining concepts from newer Celebrity ships are being added to Celebrity Reflection. Trattoria Rossa, introduced on Celebrity Solstice, will serve Roman-inspired dishes, house-made pasta, tableside preparations, Italian-style cocktails and wines. Fine Cut Steakhouse, previously limited to Edge Series ships, will make its Solstice-class debut with dry-aged steaks and seafood.

Bora will also join the ship. The Mediterranean-inspired rooftop restaurant, first introduced on Celebrity Xcel, will serve brunch during the day and shift at night to chef-led tableside dishes and shared plates.

Entertainment additions include the 125-seat Boulevard Lounge, which will host dueling pianos, karaoke, trivia, games and live performances. Boulevard Bar will operate next to the lounge, while The Parlor will combine a sports bar and gaming lounge with board games, billiards, darts and large-screen televisions.

Celebrity is also updating existing venues, including Cafe Al Bacio, Cellar Masters, the casino, art gallery, World Class Bar, Pool Bar, Passport Bar, the fitness center and Camp at Sea. Suite guests will have access to a redesigned Retreat Lounge and an updated Retreat Sundeck with an oversized hot tub, while Luminae and Blu will continue as exclusive dining rooms for The Retreat and AquaClass guests.

Fort Lauderdale deployment remains in place

After the transformation, Celebrity Reflection is scheduled to continue sailing year-round from Fort Lauderdale. The program includes three- and four-night cruises to Key West and the Bahamas, plus six- and eight-night itineraries visiting Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Grand Cayman and Turks and Caicos.

The ship is also scheduled to operate Celebrity Cruises’ 2027 President’s Cruise from May 10 to 14, 2027.
