Celebrity Edge Begins Repositioning Voyage to Australia
The Hawaii leg includes a thirteen-hour call at Kailua Kona, an overnight stay in Hilo and a night aboard in Honolulu before passengers disembark.
Celebrity Edge departed Vancouver on September 18, 2026, beginning its repositioning voyage to Australia with a ten-night cruise to Honolulu. The Celebrity Cruises ship will continue to Sydney on an 18-night South Pacific sailing later in September.
The 2026-27 deployment will be the ship’s fourth winter season in Australia and New Zealand, with open-jaw sailings between Sydney and Auckland beginning in early 2027.
The Hawaii leg includes three destinations, with a 13-hour call at Kailua Kona and an overnight stay in Hilo. Passengers will also spend a night aboard in Honolulu before disembarking.
The onward “Tahitian Treasures” itinerary includes Moorea, Raiatea and Papeete in French Polynesia. Before reaching Australia, the ship is scheduled to call at Bay of Islands and Tauranga in New Zealand.
The Sydney-based program includes 12-night New Zealand cruises and Great Barrier Reef itineraries lasting ten or 11 nights. A separate nine-night voyage to South Australia and Tasmania will visit Melbourne, Adelaide, Kangaroo Island and Hobart.
For passengers heading farther into the Pacific, the season also offers a 14-night itinerary calling in New Caledonia, Fiji and Vanuatu. The deployment update did not include a statement from a Celebrity Cruises executive.
Built by STX France and in service since 2018, Celebrity Edge accommodates 2,918 passengers at double occupancy. Celebrity’s current ship specifications list the vessel at 130,818 gross tons.
The regional season runs through late April. The ship is then scheduled to begin its return to North America for another Alaska summer. Celebrity’s published deployment also schedules the vessel to return to Australia for the 2027-28 winter season.
