Carnival Jubilee to Sail Short Mexico Cruises From Galveston in 2028
Four-day sailings depart selected Thursdays for Cozumel, while five-day cruises leave selected Saturdays and Mondays for Cozumel and Progreso.

Carnival Cruise Line opened its 2028-29 Galveston schedule for booking on Sept. 17, 2026, adding regular four- and five-night cruises aboard Carnival Jubilee for the first time. The program runs from April 2028 through April 2029, shifting the ship from primarily weeklong voyages to a schedule dominated by shorter cruises.
Carnival Jubilee, a 183,521-gross-ton Excel-class ship, carries 5,362 passengers at double occupancy and as many as 6,631 at maximum capacity.
Four- and five-night Western Caribbean sailings
The four-night cruises will leave Galveston on selected Thursdays and visit Cozumel, Mexico, with two sea days. Carnival has made 20 departure dates available between April 27, 2028, and April 26, 2029.
Five-night cruises will depart on selected Saturdays and Mondays, combining calls at Cozumel and Progreso, Yucatan. Carnival has made 42 of these sailings available between April 17, 2028, and April 30, 2029. Carnival did not publish starting fares or include an executive statement in the announcement.
Longer cruises reach Celebration Key and Roatan
The schedule includes one six-night Western Caribbean cruise, departing Oct. 29, 2028. It will call at Cozumel and Isla Tropicale, Roatan, before returning to Galveston on Nov. 4.
Two eight-night cruises are also available. The first, a Bahamas itinerary departing April 1, 2028, will visit Celebration Key; RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay; and Nassau. The second leaves April 9 and calls at Cozumel; Isla Tropicale, Roatan; and Montego Bay, Jamaica. No seven-night Carnival Jubilee sailings are included in the released 2028-29 schedule.
Carnival Jubilee stays based in Galveston
Built in 2023 by Meyer Werft, Carnival Jubilee is approximately 1,130 feet long and has about 1,740 crew members. The ship has remained based in Galveston since its December 2023 debut. Carnival primarily operates from Cruise Terminal 25 and also uses Terminal 28 at the port, which has four cruise terminals.
Carnival Tropicale, the cruise line's upcoming fifth Excel-class ship, will also be based in Galveston when it debuts in 2028. Its schedule includes four- to eight-night cruises from Texas to destinations in the Bahamas, Caribbean and Mexico.
