Carnival Jubilee to Sail Short Mexico Cruises From Galveston in 2028

Carnival Cruise Line opened its 2028-29 Galveston schedule for booking on Sept. 17, 2026, adding regular four- and five-day cruises aboard Carnival Jubilee for the first time. The program runs from April 2028 through April 2029 and also includes selected six- and eight-day departures.

Carnival Jubilee, a 183,521-gross-ton Excel-class ship, carries 5,228 passengers at double occupancy and as many as 6,631 at maximum capacity.

Four- and five-day Western Caribbean sailings

The four-day cruises will leave Galveston on selected Thursdays and visit Cozumel, Mexico. The series continues through April 26, 2029.

Five-day cruises will depart on selected Saturdays and Mondays, combining calls at Cozumel and Progreso, Yucatan. Those sailings continue through April 30, 2029.

Carnival did not publish starting fares or disclose the total number of departures in each itinerary pattern. The announcement also did not include an executive statement.

Longer cruises reach Celebration Key and Roatan

The deployment includes a six-day Western Caribbean cruise departing Oct. 29, 2028, with calls at Cozumel and Isla Tropicale, Roatan.

An eight-day Bahamas itinerary departing April 1, 2028, will visit Celebration Key; RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay; and Nassau. A separate eight-day Western Caribbean cruise leaves April 9 and calls at Cozumel; Isla Tropicale, Roatan; and Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Carnival Jubilee stays based in Galveston

Built in 2023 by Meyer Werft, Carnival Jubilee is approximately 1,130 feet long and has about 1,740 crew members. The ship has remained based in Galveston, where Carnival primarily operates from Cruise Terminal 25 and also uses Terminal 28. The port has four cruise terminals.

The first five-day departure is scheduled for April 17, 2028. The four-day series begins 10 days later, on April 27.
