Aurora Expeditions Opens 2028-29 Antarctica Season Sales
Selected voyages carry discounts of up to 25%, with bookings and deposits required by January 31, 2027; the season announcement did not include starting fares.
Aurora Expeditions has opened sales for its 2028-29 season, adding four itineraries aboard Greg Mortimer and a new Buenos Aires round-trip gateway. The Australian operator’s program comprises 37 voyages lasting eight to 23 days across Antarctica, South Georgia, the Falklands-Malvinas and Patagonia. Sylvia Earle and Douglas Mawson will also operate voyages during the season.
All four new itineraries use the Buenos Aires gateway. Packages include accommodation before the voyage, charter flights between the Argentine capital and Ushuaia, and transfers.
“Antarctica remains at the heart of Aurora Expeditions and this season is about creating even more meaningful ways for travellers to experience it,” said Justin Ewin, Aurora Expeditions’ global head of product.

South Georgia & Antarctica Active departs October 31, 2028, for a 21-day journey. Aimed at active travellers, the itinerary includes paddling among icebergs, snorkelling in Antarctic waters, snowshoeing and overnight camping on the ice. Activities remain subject to conditions.
The 11-day Antarctica: Behind the Lens departure on January 17, 2029, will feature wildlife filmmaker Ian McCarthy, an Emmy and BAFTA winner, and Anne McCarthy, who worked as production coordinator for Sir David Attenborough’s Planet Earth series.
