Windstar's Star Legend Begins 80-Night European Voyage
Windstar’s Star Collector format links back-to-back cruises into longer regional voyages with few or no repeated ports, and includes complimentary laundry on longer sailings.
Windstar Cruises’ 312-passenger Star Legend has embarked from Sweden on an 80-night “Grand European Adventure” sailing under the line’s Star Collector program. The July 15 voyage is scheduled to call at 66 destinations in 19 countries and territories across Northern and Western Europe, the Baltic and the Mediterranean before ending in Greece.
The sailing links consecutive itineraries into one extended booking, with longer stays in selected ports. Windstar did not disclose starting fares in the announcement. No executive comment was included.
Extended port stays shape the itinerary
Star Legend is scheduled to spend three nights alongside in Bordeaux, France, and two days in Rouen, France. Additional overnight calls are planned for Helsinki, Finland; Invergordon, Scotland; Lisbon, Portugal; Seville, Spain; and Thessaloniki, Greece.
The Europe program includes 16 destinations in the British Isles and seven calls in Norway, with Windstar naming Froya Island and Andalsnes among the less frequently visited ports on the route. In the Greek Islands, the ship is scheduled to call at Gythion, Monemvasia, Kavala, Volos, Skopelos and other destinations before the voyage concludes.
Star Collector format and ship profile
Windstar’s Star Collector program packages back-to-back cruises into longer regional voyages, generally 13 days or more, with few or no repeated ports. For longer sailings, the line includes complimentary laundry service, reducing the need for passengers to repack between itinerary segments.
Star Legend is a 12,995-gt, all-suite Star Class ship built in 1992. The vessel carries 312 passengers in 156 suites, with a crew complement generally listed at about 190 to 200.
Further Mediterranean and winter deployment
After the Grand European Adventure, Star Legend is scheduled to continue in the Mediterranean with additional Greek Islands and Turkey cruises, including an eight-night itinerary featuring the Corinth Canal. The ship is then due to reposition toward Central America for the winter on a mid-November trans-Atlantic sailing to Bridgetown.
Windstar’s published 2026-27 program for the vessel also includes Caribbean, Panama Canal and Costa Rica west coast itineraries.
