Victoria’s Ogden Point Schedules Nine Cruise Calls This Week
National Geographic Venture, with capacity for about 100 passengers, is scheduled to return October 18 for Victoria’s final cruise call of the 2026 season.
Nine cruise calls are scheduled at Victoria’s Ogden Point from September 28 to October 4 as the British Columbia port enters the final weeks of its 2026 season. The vessels have a combined estimated capacity of 25,789 passengers, down from 36,129 across 12 scheduled calls the previous week.
The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA) lists 13 October calls, with five concentrated in the month’s first four days. The passenger figures represent estimated vessel capacity, not confirmed numbers of visitors arriving in Victoria.
Daytime visits and evening arrival windows
Tuesday, September 29, has the week’s highest vessel count, with three arrivals spread over six hours. Seven Seas Explorer is scheduled alongside from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Disney Wonder from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., and Norwegian Joy from 1 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. Their combined estimated capacity is 7,037 passengers.
The week begins with Star Princess on Monday, September 28. The ship, with an estimated capacity of 4,300 passengers, is due at 8:30 a.m. and will stay until 7 p.m. before continuing to San Francisco. No cruise calls are scheduled for Wednesday, September 30.
Friday, October 2, brings the closest-spaced arrivals: Norwegian Bliss at 7:30 p.m. and Eurodam at 8 p.m. Both are scheduled to depart at 11:59 p.m., and together they have an estimated capacity of 6,354 passengers.
The other large-ship calls also fall later in the day. Voyager of the Seas is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, with an estimated capacity of 4,000 passengers. Norwegian Encore follows on Saturday, October 3, from 7:45 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., with capacity estimated at 3,998.
Sunday, October 4, brings the week’s smallest ship and its longest stay: the approximately 100-passenger National Geographic Venture is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Ogden Point is roughly 2.5 kilometres from downtown Victoria. Shuttle buses and taxis serve the terminal, while the walk downtown takes about 30 minutes.
Eight calls remain after this week
The reduced schedule follows a busier start to September. During September 7–13, the port had 14 calls scheduled with a combined estimated passenger capacity of 46,491. Norwegian Cruise Line accounted for the largest share of that week’s potential visitors, followed by Princess.
When the season opened in April, GVHA forecast 335 calls and more than one million passengers for the year, figures that would establish a terminal record if achieved. Those were opening-season expectations, not final traffic totals. The weekly schedule update included no statement from a named harbour authority official.
The remaining calendar pairs Carnival Spirit and National Geographic Quest on October 7. Norwegian Bliss is due October 9, followed by Noordam and Norwegian Encore on October 10. National Geographic Venture is scheduled for October 11, and Norwegian Encore has another call on October 13.
After those visits, just one further call appears on the calendar. National Geographic Venture is scheduled to return on October 18 to close Victoria’s 2026 cruise season.
