Uniworld Previews Mekong Mystique Interiors Ahead of 2028 Debut
At 262 feet, Mekong Mystique will have 34 suites and a crew of 51, with accommodations ranging from 347 to 889 square feet, including two Royal Suites.
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has previewed the interiors of Mekong Mystique, a 68-guest ship scheduled to begin sailing in Vietnam and Cambodia in 2028. The ship will join Mekong Jewel on the Mekong.
The addition is part of a three-ship fleet expansion that Uniworld CEO Ellen Bettridge described in a recent interview with Cruise Industry News as the largest the brand has undertaken.
“The design is truly special, blending classic Indochine influences with European elegance in a way that feels both timeless and full of character,” Bettridge said.
The design pairs botanical patterns and wood finishes with antique-inspired furniture. In the lobby, a spiral staircase rises above wood flooring, while the suites feature arched, floor-to-ceiling windows and decorative detailing.
One of the principal outdoor spaces will be a two-level sundeck with a floral-tiled swimming pool. Greenery, scalloped awnings and ornamental ironwork surround the pool in what Uniworld describes as a garden-terrace setting.
The suite bathrooms continue the botanical theme through hand-painted vanities and toile-style wallpaper, paired with gilded mirrors and brass fittings.
The 262-foot vessel will have 34 suites and a crew of 51. Accommodation sizes will range from 347 square feet to 889 square feet, with two Royal Suites occupying the largest category. The ship will also have two Grand Suites, each measuring 657 square feet. Uniworld has not fully detailed the vessel’s gross tonnage, propulsion system or cruising speed.
Sailings are scheduled to begin in September on the line’s “Timeless Wonders of Vietnam, Cambodia & the Mekong” itinerary.
