Star Clippers Schedules 2027 Riviera Sailings From Nice

The 227-passenger Royal Clipper will operate the April and May sailings, while the 166-passenger Star Clipper takes the October departures, starting at 2,500 dollars per person.

Star Clippers has scheduled four seven-night sailings along the French and Italian Rivieras in 2027, all round trip from Nice. The spring departures will use the 227-passenger Royal Clipper, while the 166-passenger Star Clipper will operate the autumn voyages.

The program offers seasonal versions of two itineraries, Corsica & French Riviera and Ligurian Sea, with changes to the port selections between spring and fall. April’s departure starts at $2,660 per person based on double occupancy, with the same starting fare listed for May; both October sailings start at $2,500.

“Some coastlines are meant to be seen from the water, and the French and Italian Rivieras are among them,” said Terri Haas, vice president of sales and marketing for Star Clippers.

Corsica routes differ in spring and fall

The April 24 Corsica & French Riviera departure begins its port calls in Portofino, Italy, before visiting Propriano on Corsica. It then heads to Alghero, Sardinia, and returns to Corsica for Calvi. The final two calls are on the French mainland: the Provençal fishing harbor of Sanary-sur-Mer and St. Tropez.

The October 9 version retains Portofino and the two French mainland calls but gives more of the itinerary to Corsica. L’Ile-Rousse and Ajaccio replace the spring visits to Propriano and Alghero, while Calvi remains on the schedule. Sardinia drops off the autumn route.

Monaco joins the October Ligurian Sea itinerary

The May 1 Ligurian Sea sailing opens with Porto Venere, followed by Portoferraio on Elba. It continues to Bonifacio, the cliffside port on Corsica, and then Alghero. Ajaccio and Menton, on the French coast near the Italian border, complete the itinerary.

The October 2 Ligurian Sea departure again includes Porto Venere, Elba, Bonifacio and Alghero, but adds a beach stop and Monaco. During its day in Corsica’s Gulf of Ajaccio, the ship calls at Porticcio Beach before visiting Ajaccio. Monaco becomes the final port call in place of Menton.

Elsewhere in the Mediterranean, Star Clippers recently expanded its 2027 Eastern Mediterranean schedule with Turkish coast sailings. The wider 2027-28 program includes 27 new ports of call.
