Star Clippers Opens 2027 Greek Island and Turkey Sailings
Select Athens roundtrip bookings made by May 31, 2026, add a cabin amenity package with champagne and a choice of two shore excursions or massages.
Star Clippers has opened bookings for a new group of 2027 Greek Island and Eastern Mediterranean sailings aboard Star Flyer, with itineraries built around smaller Aegean ports and Turkish coastal calls. The lowest announced fare is $2,500 for seven-night sailings, including port charges, with departures listed in May, July, August, September and October 2027.
The program puts the four-masted Star Flyer, one of three sailing ships in the Star Clippers fleet, into a port mix that includes Astypalea, Sifnos, Symi, Patmos, Skiros, Skopelos and Poros, as well as Fethiye, Dikili, Cesme, Bozcaada and Kaş in Turkey.
Terri Haas, Star Clippers vice president of sales and marketing Americas, said the itineraries combine “smaller ports with wind-powered sailing” with onboard enhancements, citing demand for “authentic destinations, fewer crowds.”
Three routes lead the 2027 program
The seven-night Authentic Greek Escape sails roundtrip from Athens on May 1, July 3, September 4 and October 2, 2027. The itinerary calls at Astypalea, Sifnos, Symi and Patmos, with an additional stop at Fethiye on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast. Star Clippers described the sailing as having shorter distances between ports and more time ashore. Fares start at $2,500 per person, double occupancy, including port charges.
The Eastern Mediterranean Escape runs between Istanbul and Antalya, combining Turkish Aegean and Mediterranean ports with Greek island calls. The 11-night version departs May 29 and July 24, 2027, with fares from $3,740 including port charges. A 10-night reverse sailing is scheduled for June 9 and August 4, 2027, with fares from $3,350 including port charges.
Aegean Gems is a seven-night itinerary focused on the northern Greek islands, with sailings scheduled for May 15, August 21 and September 18, 2027. Calls include Skiros, Skopelos and Poros, with fares starting at $2,500 including port charges.
Americas offer adds onboard and shore benefits
For select Athens roundtrip departures booked by May 31, 2026, Star Clippers is adding a cabin-level amenity package for residents of North, Central and South America. The offer includes a complimentary bottle of champagne in the cabin, plus a choice of either two shore excursions or two onboard massages per cabin.
The offer applies across all cabin categories, according to the line. It is separate from a broader Star Clippers promotion removing the single supplement on select 2026 and 2027 sailings in certain cabin categories across the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Costa Rica-Panama programs.
Under that solo-traveler promotion, Category 4, 5 and 6 inside and outside staterooms can be booked without a single supplement, subject to availability. Higher Category 2 and 3 accommodations carry a 25 percent single supplement. The promotion is capacity-controlled, applies to new bookings only and is also limited to residents of North, Central and South America.
Bookings are open now.
