Star Clippers Adds Shore Excursion Credit for 2028 Sailings
The Wi-Fi package follows Star Clippers’ fleetwide Starlink installation, which the line completed in mid-June 2024 across its three sailing ships.
Star Clippers is offering two included shore excursions per cabin and a complimentary 3GB Wi-Fi package on select early 2028 Caribbean and Central America sailings. The shore-excursion inclusion is fulfilled as a $200 onboard credit per cabin for new bookings by residents of North America and Latin America on selected January through March 2028 cruises aboard Royal Clipper, Star Clipper and Star Flyer.
The promotion applies across the line’s three-ship sailing fleet: the five-masted full-rigged Royal Clipper and the four-masted barquentines Star Clipper and Star Flyer. The announced seven-night itineraries depart from Barbados, Costa Rica and St. Maarten. Published fares for the named sailings start at $2,060 per person, double occupancy, on Star Clipper and Star Flyer, and $2,620 on Royal Clipper.
“Star Clippers’ itineraries are designed around the places our ships can reach and the experiences guests can have once they step ashore,” said Terri Haas, vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas. “By including two shore excursions, we’re giving travelers another reason to explore and experience the culture, history, wildlife and natural beauty that make these sailings so memorable.”
Offer terms and eligible sailings
The $200 credit is equivalent to $100 per person in a double-occupancy cabin. Solo travelers paying a supplement receive a $100 credit. The Wi-Fi inclusion is offered as one 3GB package per cabin and follows the line’s fleetwide Starlink installation, completed in mid-June 2024.
Royal Clipper’s seven-night “Grenadine Islands” cruise departs Bridgetown, Barbados, on Jan. 8, 2028. The sailing visits the Grenadines, Grenada, Tobago Cays, St. Vincent, Bequia, Martinique and St. Lucia before returning to Barbados. Star Clippers named excursion options including St. George’s in Grenada, snorkeling in the Tobago Cays, Bequia’s waterfront and St. Lucia’s volcanic scenery.
Star Clipper’s seven-night “Costa Rica & Panama” sailing departs roundtrip from Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica, on Feb. 5, 2028. The Pacific Coast itinerary calls at Coiba National Park, Marine Park Golfo de Chiriqui, Golfito, Quepos and Islas Tortugas, with excursion choices including snorkeling, kayaking, wildlife viewing, mangrove exploration, national park gateways and beach activities.
Star Flyer’s seven-night “Leeward Islands” itinerary departs Philipsburg, St. Maarten, on Feb. 12, 2028. The cruise calls at Nevis, Dominica, Iles des Saintes, Guadeloupe, Antigua and St. Barts, with shore options including rainforest and waterfall visits in Dominica, snorkeling and beach time in Les Saintes, Guadeloupe’s volcanic landscapes, Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua and beaches around Gustavia.
