Gather Up Launches Halloween-Themed ParanormaCruise From Boston

Packages include cruise fare, gratuities, a beverage package and internet access for one device, plus parties and a private reception with the investigators.

Gather Up Events is launching its first ParanormaCruise, a seven-night Halloween-themed sailing departing Boston on October 25 aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Breakaway. The itinerary includes Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Bermuda, with paranormal television personalities joining the onboard program.

Packages start at $2,800 for one guest or $3,800 for two; prices vary by cabin category. Participation in the themed activities requires a cabin reservation through Gather Up Events; passengers booking directly with Norwegian will not have access, and activity-only passes are not being sold. Reservations are available through a form on Gather Up’s website or by phone.

The guest lineup includes Jessica Chobot, who appeared on Expedition X; Ronny LeBlanc of Expedition Bigfoot; and Katrina Weidman, whose television credits include Paranormal State and Portals to Hell. Chobot also explores folklore and other unexplained subjects on Occulture Shock, while LeBlanc has written the Monsterland book series.

Package inclusions and onboard programming

Gather Up’s booking FAQ lists cruise fare, taxes, prepaid gratuities, a beverage package and internet access for one device among the package inclusions. Admission to the event’s parties and performances, plus a private reception with the paranormal investigators, is also included. Dinner with a featured speaker carries an additional charge.

The onboard schedule will feature storytelling, workshops and late-night paranormal investigations. Participants will also have opportunities to meet the featured guests and take photographs with them, alongside games, contests and group gatherings during sea days.

Some activities will be revealed only during the voyage. Halloween, October 31, will be spent at sea, with a costume pub crawl and themed events planned at selected shipboard bars.

Salem visit precedes calls in Canada and Bermuda

A pre-cruise outing to Salem, Massachusetts, is scheduled for October 24. The plan includes ferry travel from Boston, guided walking tours and time for participants to explore independently.

After embarkation, the ship is scheduled to call at Halifax on October 27, followed by a two-day stay at Bermuda’s Royal Naval Dockyard on October 29 and 30. The voyage returns to Boston on November 1.

Shore programming remains partly unsettled. Gather Up is considering a storytelling event at Halifax’s Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, but arrangements have not been finalized.

In Bermuda, the organizer hopes to stage a Whistlers and Maskers Festival, with plans still under development. The second day on the island is being kept open for independent exploration.
