Seabourn Opens Bookings for 2028-29 Caribbean Winter Cruises

Seabourn has opened bookings for 10 Caribbean itineraries aboard Seabourn Ovation and Seabourn Quest, with the winter program scheduled from Dec. 28, 2028, through March 29, 2029. The seven- to 12-day voyages will reach 21 ports across 20 countries and island territories.

The deployment concentrates on smaller ports, including Bequia, Little Bay in Montserrat and St. Barts, where Seabourn said only one cruise ship is welcomed each day. Selected calls in St. Maarten, Antigua, Barbados, Aruba and Curacao will include late departures.

Ovation and Quest sail from three gateways

Seabourn Ovation will operate between Bridgetown, Barbados, and Philipsburg, Sint Maarten. Seabourn Quest will sail round trips from Miami.

“The Caribbean remains one of our most sought-after regions, and we’re delighted to return with a collection of thoughtfully designed voyages,” said Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn. Tamis said passengers can book a one-week cruise or combine itineraries for a longer trip.

Christmas and New Year’s calls

Holiday departures include Christmas Eve at Carambola Beach in St. Kitts and Christmas Day in Jost Van Dyke on selected 10-day voyages. Both ships are scheduled to visit Carambola Beach on New Year’s Day for Seabourn’s Caviar in the Surf event, which includes Champagne, caviar and a beach barbecue served by the onboard teams.

Seabourn Quest recently completed a drydock. The work covered suites, public areas, dining venues and the spa.

Shore program spans five UNESCO sites

The shore program includes excursions to Nelson’s Dockyard and Shirley Heights in Antigua, and Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, Romney Manor and Caribelle Batik in St. Kitts. Other options pair a coastal catamaran trip to St. Lucia’s Pitons with visits to Soufriere and Sulphur Springs.

In Barbados, an excursion covers Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison, while the Curacao program includes a trolley tour through Willemstad’s Punda and Otrobanda districts. All five destinations include sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Onboard programming will include menus based on regional flavors and seasonal ingredients. The ships will also host Seabourn Conversations presentations and informal discussions with invited speakers and subject specialists.

Where the season fits in the Ruby Collection

The deployment extends the yacht-harbor itineraries included in Seabourn’s 54-voyage Ruby Collection for its 40th anniversary in 2028. That program ranges from seven-day Caribbean and Mediterranean sailings to a 120-day world cruise and a 96-day Arctic-to-Antarctica voyage.

Seabourn’s featured Caribbean departures also include an eight-day sailing on Nov. 10 and a seven-day cruise on Dec. 16, both before the Dec. 28 start of the winter season. The announcement did not reconcile those dates; it also lists longer 14- and 21-day options departing Jan. 13 and Feb. 3, 2029.
