Queen Victoria to Add New Cabins During 2026 Drydock
Queen Victoria will add eight Britannia staterooms, including three Deluxe Oceanview cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows, for voyages from November 11, 2026.
Cunard will send the 90,049-gross-ton Queen Victoria to Damen Shiprepair in Rotterdam from Oct. 17 to Nov. 5, 2026, for a drydock project covering signature public rooms, Grills suites, new Britannia cabins and The Pavilion Wellness Cafe. The line said the ship will add eight staterooms, including three in a new Britannia Deluxe Oceanview category.
The 2,061-guest ship was delivered in 2007. The drydock also extends The Pavilion Wellness Cafe rollout across Cunard.
Signature rooms and Grills suites are set for updates
The Grand Lobby will be refreshed as Queen Victoria’s arrival space, while the Queens Room will be redesigned for Cunard’s afternoon tea, live music and Gala Evenings programming.
Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites will receive new furnishings and design detailing. The categories sit at the top of Cunard’s accommodation structure.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to refine the experiences and spaces the Queen Victoria offers,” Katie McAlister, president of Cunard, said. McAlister said the work is being approached with “deep respect for the heritage and charm” of the ship.
New Britannia category and Pavilion Wellness Cafe join the ship
The eight additional Britannia staterooms include three Britannia Deluxe Oceanview cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows. Bookings for the new accommodations opened July 20 for voyages sailing from Nov. 11, 2026.
The Pavilion Wellness Cafe will serve breakfast, lunch and daytime dining. Cunard described the menu as plant-based, with sustainably sourced meat, fish and dairy also offered.
The cafe’s addition will make Queen Victoria the third ship in the Cunard fleet with the venue. Queen Anne introduced the concept at launch in 2024, and Queen Elizabeth added it in 2025.
Drydock schedule points to a November return
Queen Victoria was built by Fincantieri at Marghera, Italy, and is 294 meters long. The ship was previously refurbished in 2017.
Damen Shiprepair has worked with Cunard on prior projects and handled Queen Elizabeth’s 2025 drydock renovations. Queen Victoria is scheduled to resume service Nov. 7, 2026, with a four-night round-trip sailing from Southampton visiting Zeebrugge and Cherbourg.
