Princess Cruises Drops Summer Caribbean Sailings in 2027
Caribbean Princess is scheduled to leave Port Canaveral in late April 2027 for Copenhagen, then sail twelve-night Baltic itineraries before repositioning to Boston.
Princess Cruises will not operate summer cruises in the Caribbean in 2027, according to its published deployment. Every ship leaves the region between April and October. Regal Princess and Caribbean Princess, the line’s two current year-round Caribbean ships, are both scheduled to reposition to Europe after spring sailings from Florida.
Princess ran its largest-ever summer Caribbean season this year, with service from Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale. In 2027, the line’s summer deployment shifts toward Europe and Alaska across a 17-ship fleet.
Regal Princess shifts to Southampton
Regal Princess is scheduled to end its Caribbean program in April 2027 with a trans-Atlantic crossing to Southampton. From the U.K. port, the Royal-class ship will operate itineraries to Scandinavia, the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands, the Baltic and other European destinations.
The 142,229-gross-ton Regal Princess, launched in 2014, carries 3,560 guests at double occupancy and has 1,780 staterooms.
Regal Princess is scheduled to return to North America in late August for late-summer and fall Canada and New England cruises. The ship is then planned for a winter Caribbean season from Miami.
Caribbean Princess moves from Port Canaveral to Copenhagen
Caribbean Princess is scheduled to leave year-round Port Canaveral service in late April 2027 on a repositioning voyage to Copenhagen. The ship will then sail regular 12-night Baltic itineraries calling in Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Denmark and Norway.
The 112,894-gross-ton Caribbean Princess was built in 2004 and is listed by Princess at 3,140 lower berths, with 1,571 guest staterooms. After its Baltic season, the vessel is scheduled to reposition to Boston in late August for Canada and New England fall-foliage cruises.
Caribbean Princess is scheduled to return to Fort Lauderdale in November for nine- to 12-night Caribbean cruises, restoring Princess’ Caribbean deployment after the summer gap.
Summer 2027 deployment favors Europe and Alaska
Beyond Regal Princess and Caribbean Princess, Princess plans to operate four additional ships in Europe during summer 2027. The company also lists eight vessels in Alaska, two in Japan and one in Australia for the season.
