Ponant Opens Bookings for 150-Plus Europe Cruises in 2027-28

Ponant says each Mediterranean and Atlantic sailing includes one shore excursion per guest in every port, with Kid Explorers activities on fourteen departures.

Marseille-based Ponant Explorations has opened bookings for more than 150 sailings across the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Atlantic Islands for departures from October 2027 through November 2028. The program includes more than 80 Mediterranean cruises, along with British Isles, Norwegian fjords, Baltic and Atlantic archipelago itineraries.

Mediterranean program accounts for the largest share

The Mediterranean schedule runs from March through November 2028 and covers the Adriatic, Aegean and Tyrrhenian seas, as well as Corsica, Malta, Sicily and the Iberian Peninsula. Embarkation ports include Athens, Nice, Valletta, Dubrovnik and Venice.

Ponant said the Mediterranean cruises will combine calls at lesser-visited ports with access from those gateway cities. Each sailing includes one shore excursion per guest in every port of call, a policy also applied to the Atlantic program.

Fourteen Mediterranean departures are designated as “Kid Explorers” sailings, with workshops and activities for children ages 4 to 13. The company also listed six-day getaways and themed cruises developed with Smithsonian Journeys, Ducasse Paris, Club des Chefs des Chefs and the Opera National de Paris.

Atlantic program stretches from Cape Verde to the French coast

The Atlantic program runs from October 2027 through October 2028 and includes the Canary Islands, Madeira, Cape Verde and the Azores, along with sailings on the Atlantic coasts of Portugal, Spain and France.

Among the named departures are two Azores-focused itineraries in July 2028 and four Cape Verde cruises in October and November 2027 aboard Le Ponant, the company’s 32-guest sailing yacht.

The Atlantic itineraries include cultural tours, scenic hikes, cycling excursions and local tastings. Ponant also listed a Lisbon-to-Bordeaux wine voyage in May 2028, with optional private visits to Prunier and Chateau Latour.

The Atlantic program also takes in whale watching in the Azores, visits tied to volcanic landscapes and colonial towns, and calls connected with Santiago de Compostela, the Basque Country, Quiberon and Roscoff.

Northern Europe sailings span the British Isles, fjords and Baltic

The Northern Europe series is scheduled from February through August 2028, with itineraries in the British Isles, Norway and the Baltic Sea. Two itineraries include the Faroe Islands.

The program covers Scotland, Ireland, the Hebrides and the Orkney Islands, along with Norway’s fjords, including Geirangerfjord. Ponant also listed Bergen’s Bryggen district, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Tallinn, Hanseatic ports and Visby.

The announcement did not list starting fares for the newly opened 2027-28 sailings.
