Legend of the Seas Begins Transatlantic Crossing to Fort Lauderdale
The ship’s first U.S. sailing is a three-night Perfect Day Getaway, calling at CocoCay in the Bahamas on November 9 before returning to Fort Lauderdale on November 11.
Royal Caribbean International’s Legend of the Seas left Barcelona on October 25, 2026, for a 13-night transatlantic crossing to Fort Lauderdale, where it is scheduled to arrive at 5 a.m. on November 7. Its first departure from the United States is set for the following day.
The move follows the inaugural European season of the third Icon Class ship, whose maiden voyage began on July 29. Royal Caribbean lists Barcelona and Rome as its Mediterranean departure ports, with routes including Naples and Palma de Mallorca. Delivered by Finland’s Meyer Turku shipyard in 2026, the 365-metre vessel measures approximately 250,800 gross tons, according to the builder.
The crossing itinerary includes Palma de Mallorca, Malaga and Cadiz, the port call listed for Seville. The itinerary, LE13T146 in Royal Caribbean’s schedule, includes nine days at sea before the ship reaches South Florida.
Fort Lauderdale program opens with three nights
The opening U.S. voyage is a three-night Perfect Day Getaway, departing at 8 p.m. It calls at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private destination in the Bahamas, on November 9, spends November 10 at sea and returns to Fort Lauderdale on November 11.
Longer departures follow. An eight-night Southern Caribbean and Perfect Day sailing leaves on November 14, with calls at Willemstad, Curacao; Oranjestad, Aruba; and CocoCay. That itinerary includes two sea days before Curacao and another two after Aruba. The broader Fort Lauderdale schedule also includes six-night Western Caribbean cruises.
Inside the third Icon Class ship
Legend has 20 decks and an approximately 2,350-person crew. Meyer Turku lists liquefied natural gas as the fuel for the Icon Class, which began with Icon of the Seas, delivered in 2023, followed by Star of the Seas in 2025.
Outdoors, Legend has seven swimming pools and six waterslides. Royal Caribbean promotes its Category 6 waterpark as the largest at sea; the activity lineup also includes 10 whirlpools, a FlowRider surf simulator and Splashaway Bay.
Crown’s Edge combines a ropes course, skywalk and an overwater thrill ride. Other recreation includes a climbing wall, mini golf, laser tag, ice skating and a carousel.
Royal Caribbean lists 28 dining options, with 17 eateries included in the fare. The included choices cover nightly three-course dinners in the Dining Room, two buffets, seven fast-casual venues and five food stands at AquaDome Market.
Additional restaurants include Royal Railway–Legend Station, which combines dining with technology and entertainment, and Hollywoodland Supper Club, themed around Hollywood’s golden age. The entertainment program features Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, America’s Got Talent LIVE, AquaTheater and ice-skating productions, plus eight venues offering live music.
Further Icon Class construction is scheduled at Meyer Turku. Hero of the Seas is listed for launch in 2026 and delivery in 2027. A fifth hull, identified by the yard as NB 1408 Icon 5, is scheduled for delivery in 2028.
