Holland America Adds $1,400 Perks to 2026 Early-Booking Sale
Forbes Vetted cited Alaska Up Close programming, wildlife experts and Glacier Bay experiences in naming Holland America Line “Best Alaska Cruise Overall.”
Holland America Line has opened a Book Early & Save promotion for select 2026 cruises and Alaska Cruisetours, attaching a package the line values at $1,400 to eligible bookings made by Sept. 30, 2025. The Seattle-based cruise line tied the offer to Forbes Vetted naming it “Best Alaska Cruise Overall,” with Alaska departures central to the sale and Europe and Canada & New England also included.
Hundreds of cruises and Alaska Cruisetours are eligible. For Alaska specifically, Holland America has served the region since 1947 and lists more than 100 voyages from three homeports for 2026.
“Being named the Best Alaska Cruise Overall is a testament to our deep-rooted connection to the region,” said Dan Rough, Holland America Line’s vice president of revenue management. Rough said the promotion invites travelers “to plan ahead and take advantage of exceptional value” while sailing Alaska.

Alaska product cited for the recognition
Forbes Vetted cited Holland America’s Alaska Up Close programming, wildlife experts, Glacier Bay experiences and the line’s long Alaska tenure in selecting it for the recognition. The line’s Alaska itineraries range from seven to 28 days and include cruise-only departures as well as Cruisetours.
The Alaska Up Close product includes We Heart Alaska, with expert-led workshops and lectures tied to local culture. During Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve scenic cruising, National Park Service rangers and Huna Tlingit representatives join guests on board for cultural, historical and geological programming.
Holland America also promotes an Alaska Glacier Guarantee. Every Alaska cruise is scheduled to include scenic glacier viewing, and ships are positioned for a full-turn view at the ice formations. Wildlife programming includes more than 175 shore excursions, and ships in Alaska carry a wildlife expert to assist guests with spotting animals in the region.
Holland America says its Global Fresh Fish Program brings locally sourced fish from port to plate in less than 48 hours, drawing on 80 varieties from 60 ports worldwide, and Alaska sailings include dishes by Fresh Fish Ambassador Masaharu Morimoto. The line also says it is triple-certified for sustainably sourced wild-caught and responsibly farmed seafood.
The promotion excludes cruises of three days or less and Grand Voyages. Collectors’ Voyages, which combine two back-to-back, non-repeating itineraries, are eligible.
