Hapag-Lloyd Plans Four Europa Music Cruises for 2026-27
The Palma-to-Tenerife sailing also appears in Hapag-Lloyd's 2027 Golf & Cruise program, accompanied by PGA of Germany president Stefan Quirmbach.
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has announced four world music-themed sailings aboard the 400-passenger Europa for 2026 and 2027, combining onboard performances with itineraries in the Mediterranean, Iberia, the Pacific coast of the Americas and the Canary Islands. The departures run from Sept. 22, 2026, to Nov. 6, 2027, with published double-occupancy fares starting at EUR 4,690 per person.
The first three voyages identify performers from Europe and Latin America, while the fourth has dates, routing and pricing but no named artist roster. Performances are scheduled for dedicated venues onboard the Europa.
Mediterranean and Iberian departures open the music series
The first sailing, “Island magic and the azure-blue Adriatic,” is a 12-day Palma de Mallorca-to-Venice cruise from Sept. 22 to Oct. 4, 2026. The itinerary runs via Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily before continuing along the Adriatic coast, with calls including Dubrovnik, Korcula and Trieste.
The artist roster includes Croatian singer-songwriter Marcela, who describes her style as “pop in a leather jacket,” as well as Italian singer, songwriter and actress FLO. Paula Grande and Vic Moliner bring a Catalan ensemble blending jazz with Iberian and Latin American folklore, and Katarina Pejak adds a jazz and blues program shaped by classical training and an international career. The sailing is bookable in the SILVER fare from EUR 4,790 per person, double occupancy.
A second 2026 departure, “The soul of Spain and the heart of Portugal,” sails Nov. 5-15 from Palma de Mallorca to Malaga. The 10-day route includes overnight stays in Barcelona and Lisbon, with calls in Valencia, Gibraltar, Portimao and Cadiz before ending on Spain’s Costa del Sol.
That program features Spanish musician Maria Rods with contemporary art-folk and dream-pop material, Portuguese singer-songwriter Mimi Froes with pop, jazz and traditional Portuguese influences, and Brazilian musician Anna Setton, whose program blends traditional Brazilian sounds with modern jazz elements. The cruise is bookable in the SILVER fare from EUR 4,690 per person, double occupancy.
Pacific coast sailing follows in 2027
The longest of the four music departures is the 29-day “The diverse west coast of the American continent” itinerary, scheduled from Feb. 17 to March 18, 2027. Europa is set to sail from Valparaiso, Chile, north along the Pacific coast with stops in Peru, Ecuador, Panama and Costa Rica, then continue along the Mexican Riviera and California with calls including San Diego and Santa Barbara before ending in San Francisco.
The lineup for that sailing includes Mexican artist, singer, producer and DJ Pahua, who combines Latin American rhythms with electronic sounds. Evelyn Dupuy brings Afro-Cuban rhythmic traditions with pop, jazz and modern production influences, while Brazilian singer, songwriter, producer and instrumentalist Luiza Brina is also scheduled to perform. The sailing is bookable in the SILVER fare from EUR 12,890 per person, double occupancy.
Canary Islands cruise also appears in golf program
The fourth music-themed cruise is the 12-day “The charm of the Canary Islands meets oriental magic,” scheduled from Oct. 25 to Nov. 6, 2027, from Palma de Mallorca to Tenerife. Hapag-Lloyd has priced that departure in the PLATINUM fare from EUR 5,990 per person, double occupancy.
The same Palma-to-Tenerife departure also appears in Hapag-Lloyd’s Golf & Cruise program for 2027, with golf destinations in southern Spain and North Africa and a finale in Tenerife. That golf program is scheduled to be accompanied by Stefan Quirmbach, a German golf expert and president of the PGA of Germany.
For guests booking the sailing as a golf product, the basic package includes PGA professional support and organizational services for golf days ashore; Hapag-Lloyd also offers individual golf packages on Europa and Europa 2 itineraries outside dedicated Golf & Cruise departures.
