Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Expands 2027-28 Program Across Five Ships

Europa will sail a twenty-nine-day Valparaiso-to-San Francisco voyage from February 17 to March 18, 2027, linking the Americas across eight countries.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has added 2027-28 itineraries across its five-ship fleet, including a first winter season in the Indian Ocean, a Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River expedition and new programs in the Philippines, South Pacific and Western Australia. The deployment keeps the line’s annual program above 500 ports of call, with published fares on the new sailings starting at EUR7,970 per person.

The program spans Hapag-Lloyd’s two luxury ships, the 400-guest Europa and 500-guest Europa 2, and its three 230-guest Hanseatic expedition ships. Hapag-Lloyd included no executive comment in the release.

Europa and Europa 2 add new long-haul routes

Europa will sail a 29-day voyage from Valparaiso to San Francisco from Feb. 17 to March 18, 2027, linking South, Central and North America across eight countries. The itinerary includes calls in Peru and Costa Rica before the ship’s arrival in San Francisco, with fares from EUR12,792 per person.

In 2028, Europa is also scheduled for its first extended Philippines program across two consecutive cruises. One listed sailing runs from Ho Chi Minh City to Hong Kong from Feb. 14 to March 1, 2028, over 16 days, with fares from EUR8,220 per person.

Europa 2 will introduce a 22-day South Pacific itinerary from Lautoka, Fiji, to Hong Kong from April 7 to 29, 2027. The voyage includes first-time calls for the ship in Papua New Guinea and Palau, with fares from EUR9,990 per person.

The ship will also operate a 13-day Panama City roundtrip from Jan. 7 to 20, 2028, focused on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast. That itinerary adds first calls at Isla Tortuga and Puerto Jimenez, with fares from EUR9,770 per person.

Expedition ships expand in the Indian Ocean, Antarctica and North America

Hanseatic Nature will spend the 2027-28 winter season in the Indian Ocean, a first for the vessel, with voyages covering Madagascar, the Seychelles and Mauritius. A 12-day sailing from Mauritius to the Seychelles is scheduled for Jan. 3 to 15, 2028, with fares from EUR7,970 per person.

Hapag-Lloyd is also adding three 14-day Antarctic expedition cruises in early 2028 focused on South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula. A listed Hanseatic Inspiration voyage sails roundtrip from Ushuaia from Feb. 11 to 25, 2028, with fares from EUR14,220 per person.

In summer 2027, Hanseatic Inspiration is scheduled to operate a single voyage combining all five Great Lakes with the St. Lawrence River. Hapag-Lloyd lists the 21-day Halifax-to-Milwaukee itinerary for Sept. 10 to Oct. 1, 2027, with fares from EUR15,490 per person.

Hanseatic Spirit will debut a Western Australia expedition in the Kimberley region in May 2028, sailing roundtrip from Darwin from May 4 to 22. The 18-day itinerary is planned around sandstone cliffs, waterfalls, Indigenous rock art sites and wildlife viewing, with fares from EUR13,240 per person.
