Ferrari Cavalcade Makes Sea Debut at Zadar Cruise Port

The July 2 call used Zadar’s Gaženica facility, operated by Global Ports Holding under a twenty-year concession, before Ferraris departed through the historic peninsula.

Zadar Cruise Port handled the Croatian leg of Ferrari Cavalcade on July 2, with nearly 300 guests from the 922-guest Explora II disembarking to join more than 120 Ferraris that had been moved overnight to the port. The event took Ferrari’s invitation-only driving program to sea for the first time, pairing organized road segments with an Adriatic and Mediterranean sailing aboard Explora II.

The call required the port to coordinate cruise-passenger movement and vehicle staging before the cars departed in procession through Zadar’s historic peninsula. Zadar Cruise Port worked with Ferrari, Canossa Events, local authorities and other partners on the operation. The cruise call used Zadar’s Gaženica facility, operated by Global Ports Holding under a 20-year concession running from 2018 to 2038.

“Delivering an event of this complexity required meticulous planning and seamless coordination,” Rebeka V. Pevec, general manager of Zadar Cruise Port, said. She called the Cavalcade “the latest recognition for Zadar Cruise Port” and said the port had been able to present the city to “one of the world’s most exclusive audiences.”

Ferrari Cavalcade has been held since 2011. The program brings selected Ferrari owners onto planned driving routes in destination settings. Previous editions have visited Tuscany, Venice, Monaco, Dubai, Kyoto, San Francisco and Patagonia.
