Disney Wish to Make UK Debut From Southampton in 2027
Built at Meyer Werft in Germany, the 144,000-gross-ton Disney Wish entered service in July 2022 and accommodates about 2,500 passengers at double occupancy.
Disney Wish is scheduled to make its UK debut in Southampton on July 17, 2027, with a summer programme of three-, four- and five-night European cruises. The ship will take over Disney Cruise Line’s Southampton sailings from Disney Dream.
The cruise line describes the deployment as Disney Wish’s first European season. Disney’s published schedules show Disney Dream serving Southampton during 2026.
Itineraries take in Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain. Disney Cruise Line did not provide executive comment on the deployment.
Disney Wish entered service in July 2022 after construction at Meyer Werft in Germany. The 144,000-gross-ton vessel uses liquefied natural gas and can accommodate a maximum of 4,000 passengers; its capacity at double occupancy is approximately 2,500.
