Disney Dream Returns to Europe for Summer Sailings
After shifting to Southampton in late July, Disney Dream is scheduled for a seven-night Norwegian fjords sailing in August with calls at Olden and Stavanger.
Disney Dream has returned to Europe for a summer deployment covering the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and a westbound trans-Atlantic crossing to Fort Lauderdale. The Disney Cruise Line ship arrived in Spain in early May after a two-year gap from the region.
The program puts the 2,500-passenger ship back into a European rotation that begins with Southern Europe sailings from Barcelona and Civitavecchia before shifting to Southampton for Northern Europe itineraries in late July.
Mediterranean sailings lead the program
Disney Dream’s early-season schedule includes seven- to 12-night cruises in the Western and Eastern Mediterranean. The itineraries include calls in Italy and Greece, with Cagliari, Messina, Santorini and Piraeus among the named ports. The ship is also scheduled to call in Croatia, Malta and France during the Mediterranean portion of the deployment.
Southampton deployment adds fjords and short cruises
After repositioning to Southampton in late July, Disney Dream is scheduled to operate cruises to Scandinavia, the British Isles and the North Sea. The Northern Europe program includes Norwegian fjords itineraries, including a seven-night August sailing with calls at Haugesund, Olden, Alesund and Stavanger.
The Southampton schedule also includes shorter Western Europe cruises. Zeebrugge in Belgium and La Coruna in Spain are among the ports listed for those sailings.
Disney Dream is scheduled to leave Europe in mid-September on a 13-night repositioning cruise to Fort Lauderdale. The westbound voyage includes calls at Vigo, Lisbon and Funchal before the ship reaches Port Everglades.
Dream returns after Fantasy covered Europe
Disney Dream is in its 15th year of service for Disney Cruise Line. Built by Meyer Werft and introduced in 2011, the ship was Disney’s first newbuild in nearly 15 years.
The vessel measures about 130,000 gross tons and has 1,250 cabins across 14 decks, with capacity for 2,500 passengers at double occupancy and up to 4,000 at maximum occupancy. Disney Dream last operated in Europe in 2024. Disney Fantasy took over the company’s regional itineraries in 2025.
Disney Dream is currently slated for year-round Caribbean service in 2027. That same year, Disney Wish is scheduled to make its first Northern Europe and Mediterranean deployment.
