Costa Unveils Six Themed Itineraries for Winter 2026-27

Costa Fascinosa’s Caribbean Heart itinerary places the Dominican Republic at the center of the voyage, with Catalina Bay among four Sea Destinations where ships pause for experiences.

Costa Cruises has outlined six itinerary concepts for its winter 2026-27 program across the Mediterranean, Canary Islands and Caribbean. The collection combines port visits with the line’s Sea Destinations programming, with three Mediterranean itineraries, two Caribbean options and one Canary Islands route.

The rollout extends Costa’s Sea & Land Wonder Platform, introduced in 2024 to connect experiences aboard ship, at selected locations at sea and ashore. From 2027, the company plans to organize each cruise around a distinct concept tied to its destinations and onboard programming.

“In winter 2026-27, we bring together iconic destinations, moments of wonder at sea and ashore, and different travel styles,” said Luigi Stefanelli, vice president worldwide sales at Costa Cruises.

The itinerary announcement did not include starting fares, voyage durations or individual departure dates.

Mediterranean routes connect southern Europe and North Africa

Costa Toscana will operate “Iconic Mediterranean,” with calls at Rome, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Palermo.

Aboard Costa Pacifica, “Mediterranean Soul” centers on local streets, markets and cultural sites. Its destinations include Barcelona’s Ramblas, the souk reached through La Goulette in Tunisia, Naples’ San Gregorio Armeno and Palermo’s Ballaro market.

The third concept, “Exotic Mediterranean,” connects Andalusia with North Africa on an itinerary spanning two continents. Its ports include Malaga, Tangier, Valencia and La Goulette.

Island programs add named experiences at sea

In the Caribbean, Costa Fascinosa will offer both “Antilles Collection” and “Caribbean Heart.” The first focuses on the Lesser Antilles and is built around the differing identities of the islands visited. The second places the Dominican Republic at the center of the voyage.

The Caribbean program also includes four Sea Destinations: Caribbean Sea Darkest Spot, Guadeloupe Bay, Catalina Bay and Archipelago Turks & Caicos. At each, ships pause for experiences connected to their surroundings.

Costa Smeralda will operate the “Canary Islands” concept, featuring Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Tenerife’s Teide volcano. The itinerary draws on the archipelago’s volcanic terrain, black-sand beaches, dunes, forests and coastal cliffs.

The Canary Islands program includes two Sea Destinations: Canary Sea Darkest Spot and Atlantis Crest. Costa describes the latter as a marine destination inspired by the Atlantis myth.

For summer 2027, Costa plans a further collection covering the Western Mediterranean, Eastern Mediterranean and Northern Europe. Themes announced for that phase include “Dolce Vita,” “Golden Islands,” “Aegean Icons” and “Nordic Souls.”
