Costa Diadema Returns to Mediterranean Before Brazil Crossing

Costa Diadema is returning to the Mediterranean after four months of cruises from Germany, with a 12-night repositioning voyage from Kiel to Savona that began earlier in September 2026. The voyage has eight stops across six countries, including Denmark, Norway, France and Spain. The Costa Cruises vessel will then operate short Mediterranean sailings before starting 10- and 11-night Western Europe itineraries in late September.

The autumn program offers embarkation in Savona, Marseille, Cadiz, Barcelona and Malaga, with calls extending to Gibraltar and, on the longer itineraries, Lisbon and Casablanca. It precedes the ship’s winter deployment to South America.

In early November, the ship will depart Savona on a 21-night Atlantic crossing to Santos, Brazil. Scheduled calls include Barcelona, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Lisbon, Mindelo in Cape Verde, and the Brazilian ports of Maceio and Salvador.

Costa Diadema will operate alongside Costa Serena during the 2026-27 South American season, offering cruises lasting three to seven nights to Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. The regional schedule includes departures from Santos, Itajai, Buenos Aires and Montevideo. No statement from a Costa executive accompanied the deployment details.

Before leaving Northern Europe, the vessel operated seven-night cruises from Kiel to Denmark and the Norwegian Fjords. Those itineraries included Copenhagen, Bergen, Stavanger, Flam, Alesund, Geiranger, Haugesund and Hellesylt.

Built in 2014, Costa Diadema has 1,862 cabins and a passenger capacity of 4,947, according to Costa Cruises. Fincantieri lists the vessel at 133,000 gross tons.

The South American season is scheduled to continue through April 2027. The ship is due back in Europe in May to begin another summer of Norwegian Fjords cruises.
