CLIA to Open 2027 RiverView Sales for Budapest-Vienna Sailing

The 2026 RiverView conference in Amsterdam drew around 600 delegates and assembled eight ships for visits, after almost 400 agents attended in Budapest in 2025.

Cruise Lines International Association will put places for its 2027 RiverView conference on sale at 11 a.m. on Sept. 16. The 15th-anniversary event, scheduled for March 5-8, will take CLIA member agents from Budapest through Bratislava to Vienna during a two-night river sailing followed by an additional night in Vienna.

The 2027 program introduces RiverView’s first call in Bratislava and a shorter “Lite” registration option. The 2026 conference in Amsterdam drew around 600 delegates and assembled eight ships for visits, while almost 400 agents attended the 2025 event in Budapest.

The announcement did not include a statement from a CLIA executive.

What the full program covers

Delegates on the full program will stay aboard one of three vessels: AmaWaterways’ AmaSofia, Riviera Travel’s Riviera Radiance or VIVA Cruises’ VIVA TWO. Breakfast, dinner and onboard entertainment are included.

Vienna will host the conference’s business sessions. A guided inspection program will also give delegates access to ships operated by Avalon Waterways, TUI River Cruises, Scenic and Riverside Luxury Cruises.

During the Bratislava call, agents will be able to attend a networking trade fair and join local excursions in the Slovakian capital. The conference has previously been held in cities including Amsterdam, Budapest, Cologne, Paris and Vienna.

Lite option shortens the program

The new Lite registration will run from March 6-8. It includes the Vienna business sessions, overnight accommodation aboard ships from TUI River Cruises and Avalon Waterways, and lunch aboard a Scenic vessel.

A supplier networking afternoon and visits to participating river ships are also planned. CLIA did not specify how many ships would be available through the Lite inspection program.

VIVA Cruises will offer a separate two-night pre-conference sailing aboard VIVA TWO. Agents can register their interest when booking RiverView.

Destination webinar series set for October

Before the conference, CLIA will run its “A Week on the Rivers” webinar series from Oct. 12-16, 2026. The five-session schedule will cover:
