Brilliant Lady Cancellation Delays Astoria Fall Cruise Season
Brilliant Lady is now scheduled to call on May 8, 2027, and Astoria’s next cruise calendar is set to open with Europa on March 21.
The cancellation of Brilliant Lady’s Sept. 12 visit has pushed the start of Astoria’s fall cruise schedule to Sept. 28, when Serenade of the Seas is due to arrive. The Port of Astoria said Brilliant Lady had been expected to bring about 2,700 passengers and is now scheduled to call on May 8, 2027.
The cancellation leaves two calls carrying an estimated 6,300 passengers through Oct. 3, compared with approximately 9,000 passengers in the original three-ship fall lineup. The port did not give a reason.
Serenade of the Seas is scheduled to arrive at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, with about 2,100 passengers. The ship is due to depart at 6 p.m. that evening.
Norwegian Joy will make Astoria’s final cruise call of 2026 on Saturday, Oct. 3. The ship is expected to bring approximately 4,200 passengers, arriving at 1 p.m. and departing at about 8 p.m.
Cruise ships call at Pier 1, where pier-side shuttle and coach services connect passengers with downtown Astoria while ships are in port.
The port’s 2027 cruise calendar is scheduled to begin with Europa on Sunday, March 21. The ship is due at 8 a.m. and is scheduled to remain until 6 p.m.
Astoria currently has 13 cruise ship visits scheduled for 2027, with two additional calls pending.
