Azamara and Premier Golf Launch Eight 2027-28 Golf Cruises

Ireland, Scotland, British Isles and Northern Europe guests can choose Classic packages for walking courses or Leisure options built around cart-friendly play.

Premier Golf and Azamara Cruises have launched eight golf-focused cruises for 2027 and 2028 across all four Azamara ships. Golf packages range from $2,050 to $6,995 per golfer, in addition to the cruise fare.

The collection combines multi-destination itineraries with rounds at courses including Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland and Cape Kidnappers in New Zealand. Azamara’s longer stays and late-night port calls leave time for exploration ashore.

The cruises are available to book through Azamara Cruises and Premier Golf, the Official Golf Travel Partner of the PGA of America. Travel advisors will receive a 10% commission on golf cruises and pre- and post-cruise land packages.

“We’re excited for our guests to experience a different approach to golf travel, where the time between rounds is an important part of the overall journey,” said Jason Vallee, chief operating officer of Premier Golf.

Golf options for different styles of play

Premier Golf is offering two collections. The Classic Collection targets avid golfers, emphasizing traditional links and courses where walking is part of the round. The Leisure Collection uses cart-friendly courses for casual players, groups with differing abilities and travelers seeking to divide their time between golf and other activities ashore.

Guests on the Ireland, Scotland, British Isles and Northern Europe cruises can choose either collection. Each of the other four itineraries offers a single golf experience.

Premier Golf lists three to six rounds, depending on the itinerary and package selected. Packages include transfers for golf, carts or caddies where applicable, lunches, and welcome and farewell celebrations, although specific inclusions vary by sailing.

“It’s a new way to think about a golf getaway where the journey between rounds becomes part of the experience,” said Azamara Cruises Chief Executive Officer Dondra Ritzenthaler.

Departures and land extensions

The initial schedule assigns four cruises to Azamara Quest, two to Azamara Pursuit and one each to Azamara Onward and Azamara Journey:

  • Azamara Quest will operate the Pacific Coast Golf Cruise on May 17–24, 2027; the Ireland Golf Cruise on May 20–June 1, 2028; the Scotland Golf Cruise on June 1–13, 2028; and the Northern Europe Golf Cruise on August 21–September 2, 2028.
  • Azamara Pursuit will host the Vietnam & Thailand Golf Cruise on October 3–16, 2027, followed by the Australia & New Zealand Golf Cruise on January 5–21, 2028.
  • Azamara Onward will operate the New Zealand & Australia Golf Cruise on February 15–March 1, 2028.
  • Azamara Journey will host the British Isles Golf Cruise & The Open on August 3–17, 2028.

The British Isles itinerary also includes a Sunday walking tour of the Old Course at St Andrews, separate from the rounds provided in the golf package.

Premier Golf and Azamara are introducing five pre- and post-cruise golf experiences across four destinations. The options include a post-cruise round at Torrey Pines South in La Jolla, California; golf at Sentosa Golf Club on Singapore’s Sentosa Island; and two-night stays with rounds on Te Arai’s North and South courses in New Zealand. Mission Hills in Shenzhen is also included in the extension program.

Further land experiences are in development. Additional golf sailings for 2028 will be announced later.
