Atlas Adds Seven Africa Land Programs for Adventurer's 2029 Season
The A&K Sanctuary itinerary spans three private Kenyan reserves, while southern Africa options include the Okavango Delta, Chobe and a visit to Victoria Falls.
Atlas Ocean Voyages has added seven pre-voyage land programs for the spring 2029 Africa season of its planned 400-guest Atlas Adventurer. The lineup includes an eight-day Kenyan safari developed in an exclusive partnership with Abercrombie & Kent.
Three programs will begin in Nairobi and connect with cruises departing from Mombasa. Four southern Africa options depart from Johannesburg and Cape Town.
James A. Rodriguez, president and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages, said the additions offer guests “a truly immersive land excursion encountering Africa's extraordinary wildlife and landscapes, before they ever set foot aboard Atlas Adventurer.”
In Kenya, the A&K Sanctuary itinerary spans three private reserves. The partnership applies specifically to that program; Atlas is offering two other Kenyan safari options separately, including a four-day introduction to Amboseli and Tsavo East.
The southern Africa programs include visits to Greater Kruger’s private reserves, the Okavango Delta and Chobe, along with the vineyards of the Cape Winelands. One itinerary concludes with a visit to Victoria Falls.
Atlas Adventurer is scheduled to enter service in 2028.
