Windstar Opens 2028 Europe Bookings With 348 Itineraries

Windstar Cruises has opened bookings for its summer 2028 Europe season, offering 348 itinerary combinations across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. Five ships will operate the program from March through October.

Sailings range from four-day trips to a 53-day Grand Mediterranean Adventure from Tenerife in the Canary Islands to Venice. The longest voyage will be aboard the 148-guest Wind Spirit.

The deployment also includes Star Legend, Star Pride, Wind Surf and Star Explorer, the line’s newest ship.

New destinations include Inis Mor in Ireland’s Aran Islands. Star Explorer will operate a Circumnavigate Ireland itinerary with calls at Belfast, Londonderry, Killybegs, Galway, Dingle, Cork and Waterford.

The expanded Germany program includes sailings through the Kiel Canal and along the Elbe River. A four-day Copenhagen-to-Hamburg voyage is timed to coincide with Hamburg’s major maritime festival on May 3.

“Europe is a destination many of our guests return to again and again,” said Stijn Creupelandt, chief operating officer of Windstar Cruises. He said the new season would give returning passengers different ways to experience familiar destinations.

“For travel advisors, that creates a compelling reason to start a new Europe conversation with both first-time and repeat guests,” Creupelandt said.

In the Mediterranean, Star Legend and Wind Spirit will both attend the Monaco Grand Prix, extending the line’s existing program of sailings tied to the race.

Windstar will also continue its round-trip Mystery Cruises from Athens. The program began with a President’s Mystery Cruise in 2025. Passengers know the ship and general region before departure, but most port calls remain undisclosed until shortly before arrival, typically about 36 hours ahead.
