Travelmarvel Opens U.S. Bookings for 2028 Nile Cruises

Aboard the 62-cabin Travelmarvel Sirius, meals are served in the Nefertari Restaurant, while visiting dancers and musicians perform in the Ramses Lounge and Bar.

Travelmarvel has released its 2028/29 Egypt, Jordan and Morocco programme, featuring Nile cruises aboard the 124-passenger Travelmarvel Sirius. The new season adds an optional two-night hotel extension in Alexandria.

The programme builds on the brand’s previously released 2027 itineraries. It follows parent company APT Travel Group’s return to Nile cruising after an absence of more than a decade. The ship made its maiden voyage for Travelmarvel last month.

Commenting on the maiden voyage, David Cox, chief executive officer of The APT Travel Group, said of Egypt’s appeal to Americans, “we’re seeing it climb back to the top of travel wish lists.” He also described the Nile offering as a premium river cruise experience priced to appeal to American travelers.

The Alexandria extension includes accommodation at the Steigenberger Cecil Hotel. Guests will take a guided tour of the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa and the Citadel of Qaitbay, before continuing to the El Alamein War Cemetery.

Egypt cruises with Jordan and Morocco combinations

The 11-day “Treasures of Egypt and the Nile” itinerary begins and ends in Cairo, combining the capital with a seven-night cruise between Luxor and Aswan.

For passengers combining countries, the programme includes the 18-day “Treasures of Egypt and the Nile with Hidden Jordan” tour. Travelmarvel is also offering a “Treasures of Egypt and Morocco” itinerary.

A tour director qualified as an Egyptologist accompanies each Egypt journey and leads shore excursions. The maiden voyage included visits to Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings and Queens, Abu Simbel and Philae Temple. The Egypt programme also includes the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Inside Travelmarvel Sirius

The ship has 62 cabins and suites, with large picture windows but no private balconies. Each cabin has a queen-size bed that can be arranged as twins, along with air-conditioning, a television, minibar and a bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower.

An elevator connects all four passenger decks, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the vessel. The accommodation draws on Egyptian history and culture alongside contemporary design.

Meals are served in the Nefertari Restaurant, while the Ramses Lounge and Bar hosts visiting dancers and musicians. The ship also has a sun deck with a swimming pool.

Bookings for 2028 sailings aboard Sirius are now open to the U.S. market.
