Transcend Connect to Launch With Rituals Mind Oasis Spa
Hydro Massage uses a warm waterbed with red light therapy, nature soundscapes and aromatherapy. Brain Massage adds guided breath, light, scent and haptics.
Transcend Cruises has partnered with Netherlands-based cosmetics and wellbeing brand Rituals to put Mind Oasis by Rituals aboard Transcend Connect, its first purpose-built river vessel for the group market, ahead of the ship’s launch next month. The charter-only operator said the onboard facility will offer Rituals’ Brain Massage and Hydro Massage treatments for multi-day meetings, incentive programs, retreats and affinity charters in Europe. Transcend did not disclose financial terms.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with Rituals, a frontrunner in wellbeing, to offer 'Mind Oasis by Rituals,' a restorative wellbeing experience that only Transcend will offer on the European rivers," said Kimberly Daley, chief operating officer of Transcend Cruises.
Mind Oasis joins Connect’s wellness area
Mind Oasis is Rituals’ mind-spa concept, offered in Rituals stores and partner venues including hotels, airports, gyms, wellness resorts and corporate settings. On Transcend Connect, it will be part of a 2,600-square-foot wellness area that also includes spa treatment rooms, a fitness center with strength and cardio equipment, an outdoor yoga deck, a barefoot walking path, a sauna and relaxation areas.
Hydro Massage uses a warm waterbed with red light therapy, nature soundscapes and aromatherapy, and Transcend describes it as aimed at easing muscular tension. Brain Massage combines immersive sound, breath guidance, light, scent and synchronized haptic vibrations with brainwave entrainment; Transcend said guests experience a 30-minute session as comparable to two hours of deep sleep.
"It allows partners such as Transcend Cruises to elevate their offering beyond traditional relaxation, into real recovery," said Couro Seck, head of concept for Mind Oasis by Rituals.
Three more ships follow by 2028
Transcend began operations with Transcend Advance, the former Riverside Mahler and previously part of Crystal’s river fleet, while its purpose-built vessels were under construction. After Connect, the planned newbuild program includes Transcend Evolve and the ordered Transcend Create and Transcend Engage, which would bring the purpose-built fleet to four ships by 2028.
