Star Pride Begins Summer Iceland Cruises From Reykjavik
The itinerary includes a twenty-four-hour call in Seydisfjordur, and August departures add Husavik before a fourteen-night Greenland voyage to Boston.
Windstar Cruises’ Star Pride has begun its summer Iceland deployment from Reykjavik, operating seven-night roundtrip cruises that circumnavigate the country through late August. The 312-guest ship arrived in the Icelandic capital earlier this month after a Northern Europe and British Isles program. No executive statement accompanied the schedule details.
Seven-night Iceland cruises from Reykjavik
Star Pride’s weeklong Iceland cruises call at five domestic destinations after departing Reykjavik. The ship is scheduled for a 24-hour stay in Seydisfjordur, including an overnight in port, before continuing to Akureyri, Isafjordur and Grundarfjordur.
The itinerary also includes Heimaey, the largest island in the Westman Islands archipelago. August sailings add Husavik, a less frequently called Icelandic port associated with whale watching.
Before leaving the region, Star Pride is scheduled to operate a 14-night Greenland cruise between Reykjavik and Boston. That repositioning voyage includes Narsarsuaq and Qaqortoq in Greenland, followed by Saint Anthony and Bonne Bay in Newfoundland and Halifax in Nova Scotia.
Star Pride’s follow-on deployment
After arriving in Boston, the ship is scheduled for a fall Canada and New England season before moving to the Caribbean for winter 2026-27. From San Juan, Star Pride will operate seven-night cruises calling in the Windward and Leeward Islands.
The 12,995-gt ship was built in 1988 as Seabourn Pride and later joined Windstar as Star Pride. A 2021 Star Plus drydock inserted a 26-meter midsection, stretching the vessel to 159 meters and expanding it to 156 all-suite accommodations for 312 guests.
Windstar has also put the Iceland rotation back on the schedule for early July 2027.
